@koto..if you don't have a polarizer, you may try this OLD technique instead..this very suitable when there is too much sun overhead..

the technique is called "SUNNY 16"..and I just learned this in another forum recently =)

-set your cam on manual.
-set the shutter speed equal to the ISO.. for example your using ISO 200, your shutter should be 1/200
-then use f/16 if its really sunny.. use f/11 or bigger if pictures come out underexposed.

good tips.. I should try this one... I'm having trouble w/ under/over expose pictures outside.
