The 4-2 Baby Lancers, who will play against the USPF Baby Panthers today and the USJ-R Baby Jaguars tomorrow in the final day of elimination, have surrendered the first place to the Dragons even if the latter lose by a probable upset against the smaller and winless DTBC Junior Greywolves today.

Adrian Ronald Muller had a near flawless scoring, topscoring for the Magis Eagles with 25 points, 10 of in the fourth period. With the help of Adven Jess Diputado and Bradley Bacaltos, they subdued a late rally by the Baby Lancers.

They sang happy birthday right after the game as they dedicated their victory to school president Fr. Manny Uy, SJ.

Diputado, a nifty point guard, finished with 18 points, while Bacaltos, also an excellent guard, had a silent eight points followed by Henry Renzal Asilum with seven.

The Lancers, led by Gerald Legarde with 14 points, threatened in the third period when they cut a 16-point deficit down to just six points, 48-54, following a 13-1 rally.

However, Muller started to work hard again at start the fourth period to help the Magis Eagles easily regain control. From thereon, they maintained at least 10 to 12-point leads several times.

    Year of the underdogs
    Friday, September 3, 2010

    By Rommel C. Manlosa

THE Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Eagles scored the first major upset in the 2010 Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) high school tournament following a shocking 78-63 win over the University of the Visayas Baby Lancers Thursday night at the Cebu Coliseum.

The victory put the Eagles in a possible triple tie finish with pacesetters UV and the University of Cebu (UC) Baby Webmasters.

Updates on President Benigno Aquino III's presidency

UC defeated SHS-AdC 84-80 last Aug. 5, while UV defeated UC, 85-76, last Aug. 10.

Because of this, the Eagles might get the highest quotient using the Fiba quotient system to break the multiple tie.

From losing to the Baby Lancers, UC also lost to the CEC Dragons. SHS-AdC also lost to CEC and UV’s other defeat was a forfeiture to CIT-U.

And if the situation will not change today and Sunday, last year’s doormat team CEC Dragons will in the finish No.1 spot, the Eagles at No.2, UC at No.3 and UV in fourth place.

The top four teams will hold a twice to beat advantage in the quarterfinal round that will start on Sept. 9.

The semifinal round will be a single round robin affair with the top two teams playing in the best-of-five championship series.

UV headed right for the money when they opened the game in a 6-0 blitz but their offenses suddenly conked out. The Eagles took advantage of the opportunityand built up a 37-23 lead at the first half.

The Baby Lancers continued to struggle under the pressure defense of the Eagles. All the Baby Lancers could do was cut the lead down to six, 48-54, at the end of the third period.

Feeling the pressure, the Baby Lancers struggled to score on every position but their impatience only led to either poor shot selections or turnovers, while the Eagles played a very fluid game anchored on Adrian Roland Muller and Adven Jess Diputado.

Muller scored the game-high 25 points, while Diputado added 18 as SHS-AdC nabbed its fifth win in seven games.

Gerald Legarde led the scorers with 14 points, while Alwin Aguirre and Vincent Mendoza added 11 and 10, respectively.

Today, the remaining juniors division games will be played with CEC trying to keep its hold at the top spot as they play the winless Don Bosco Technology College. The Eagles face the embattled USJ-R in the main game at 5:30 p.m. The USC Baby Warriors face the defending champions CIT-U Wildkittens at 1 p.m., while UV goes against the USPF Baby Panthers at 4 p.m.

Mellijor's teammate Dale Emmanuel Belangel was also charged for usnportsmanlike foul against CEC's Nike Montalvo earlier. On the part of the Dragons, James Sumayang and Luther Nuevos were assessed of the same infraction.

Shameweather Doesn’t Have The Urge To Get Knocked Out By Pacquiao
Published by Scoop Malinowski on September 3rd, 2010

Floyd Mayweather has emerged from hiding from Manny Pacquiao, just like we knew he would: after Pacquiao has signed the contract and participated in press conferences for the Margarito fight in November.Mayweather has emerged in the most vile, repulsive and disgusting form we have ever seen from the ugly American yet, as he is making racial comments against Pacquiao in a video released by USstream.

Mayweather is a sad, pathetic and pitiful figure who only deforms himself further and worse as he allows his fear and cowardice of Manny Pacquiao to devour any iota of class and respect he has left.
They say a coward dies thousand deaths and that’s what Mayweather is doing to himself…he’s killing himself, his career, his reputation, his legacy and all the good that he’s accomplished throughout his career, as he now relentlessly shames himself by disgracefully ducking and dodging a fight with the man he envies and fears – Manny Pacquiao.

Mayweather is a desperate whore who will do anything and say anything, to preserve himself from having to fight and get brutally knocked out by Manny Pacquiao.

No one can stand up to defend him now. Al Haymon may have the money but he doesn’t have the balls to come out and stand up and defend Mayweather. Don King knows it’s hopeless to associate with a fraud like Mayweather. There’s no e-mails or sources Tim Smith can rely on now to support Floyd Mayweather. Teddy Atlas can’t and won’t say anything on ESPN to defend Mayweather or take another cheap shot at Pacquiao. Oscar, Schaefer, Ellerbe or any other Mayweather family member can’t say anything to support Mayweather. It’s over.

Mayweather is all by himself, cornered like a cowardly dunce. He has no where to run or hide from his worst nightmare. It’s all over now. And isn’t it just incredible what infinite, uncontrollable cowardice can do a to man’s soul, like it has done to this pitiful, pathetic, disgraceful creature named Floyd Mayweather? We are witnessing one of the most shameful, disgusting debacles in modern American sporting history. There’s an old quotation that says, “Show me a hero and I’ll show you a tragedy.” Floyd Mayweather is a tragedy.

Now he says he doesn’t have the urge to box Manny Pacquiao. I’ll give you the translation of his latest lies: He doesn’t have the urge or desire to be brutally, savagely and violently beaten up and knocked out by Manny Pacquiao. That’s the truth.

But I’ve got some news for you. It’s just a matter of time before we see this massive fraud exposed, humbled and humiliated, as he will be laying unconscious on the canvas, beaten, battered, bloodied and completely destroyed, once and for all. It’s the destiny and fate of Mayweather.

“The humble shall be exalted, and the exalted shall be humbled.”
