Overpopulation is a myth. The real problems are corruption and economic mismanagement.
The RH bill promotes abortion through the funding of abortifacient contraceptives. This is contrary to the Philippine Constitution.
Yes

hahaha i find it very funny that the people who are anti-contraceptives doesn't have 20-30 children or more.
hmmmmm... how do they do that?!?![]()
How? You don't need contraceptives to plan a family. You just need to think and exert a little willpower. But those are things that the RH fanatics think no one has. That's why they resort to deception and coercion.

No to abortion; no to the RH bill.
For me its a matter of Choice.. its my body nobody can tell what to do with it...)
i think there is something wrong with the poll.. because its about two things.. what if is dont agree to legalize abortion but agree with abortficients...
y? because in abortion the probabiltity that you will abort the fetus is 99% while in pill which many calls abortifienct med have actually lower probbaility of abortion...
the two are not the same...
in abortion the intent is to abort
in using pills the intent is not to get pregnant so not resort to abortion...
the poll is misleading...
wa ko ga duda but sure gyud ko wrong and biased ang poll.
the poll is very misleading and intended w/ malice. it implies albeit indirectly that the RH bill promotes abortion and the use of "abortifacients" to which the bill explicitly stated otherwise: the RH Bill does not condone abortion and in fact supports our anti-abortion laws.
per definition, an abortifacient is a substance that induces abortion. AND THERE IS NO WAY THAT CONDOMS, BIRTH CONTROL PILLS, IUD's, LIGATION, AND VASECTOMY FIT THAT DESCRIPTION.
at first glance, the poll looks harmless but actually it tries to connect abortion w/ the RH Bill with malicious intent. in actuality, abortion and the RH bill are entirely different matters. in fact, the opposite.
i hope our mods will see that too.
i guess these fake pro-lifers and arrogant priests are getting very desperate nowadays. (i say fake coz they are actually lobbyists and lobbyists mean...u know na. and no matter how they sugar-coat their real motives, but in the end it is all about money) basin hapit na mahimong law ang atong dugay na nga gihuwat, long overdue RH Bill, that's why...hehe

But the child's body is NOT yours. You can't MURDER someone else just for your convenience.
Good definition. That exactly fits IUDs, pills , injectables, and implantables, which all have abortifacient mechanisms. They prevent the implantation of the fertilized egg, which is already a human being as per the Philip[pine Constitution, thus causing an early-term chemical abortion.Originally Posted by giddyboy
The contraceptive manufacturers themselves admit this. Look at the Physician's Prescribing Information of some contraceptives and look for a statement like this:
"Combination oral contraceptives (COCs) act by suppression of gonadotropins.
Although the primary mechanism of this action is inhibition of ovulation,
other alterations include changes in the cervical mucus (which increases the
difficulty of sperm entry into the uterus) and the endometrium (which reduces
the likelihood of implantation)."
You can find this statement (or a similar one) in the information for the oral contraceptives Yaz, Yasmin, and Nuvaring:

As for the poll, it's not perfect, but it's just as good as the other polls we have had here. The old poll on how the Church is handling the bill is confused with being for/against the bill, for example, and even those against the bill were sometimes fooled.
The RH fanatics just don't like this new poll because it exposes the fact that the RH bill really promotes abortifacient contraceptives.
No to abortion; no to the pro-abortion RH bill!
