Rule of Thirds - divide the frame into thirds with two lines down and two lines sideways...like a tic-tac-toe square...then put your subject at or near two intersecting lines....exactly which intersecting lines depends on how you are going to compose your shot....of course, general rule ra ni, usually useful when you have a prominent subject that fills up a large portion of the frame...

applying the rule to your pics, ang pasabot ni burokhuli is that the horizon is in the middle so wala ma emphasize ang effect sa sunset that you were after. kung rule of thirds, lower the horizon to the imaginary horizontal line...try it by cropping the pics and you'll see the difference....
    Thanks Bai...

i just used macro and auto settings lang. for techniques, you may ask markyap, abortretryfail, polgas and rpeg. these guys are the expert fotogs here in istorya ( a lot of them actually). try rubbing your elbows with them and be prepared to say "wow"!!!

may the force be with you.

thanks for your comment boss. Unsa pasabot sa RULE OF THIRDS?
Pls. give some tips on how to improve my shots... By the way, ako camera is canon powershot A85 lang... 4mega pixels.. dili jud camera nga power jud kaayo nga pang professional...

The RULE OF THIRDS is really not a RULE. It's simply a guide in our composition. You can find a clear explanation on this website http://www.earthboundlight.com/photo...of-thirds.html

Another guide to composition based on the rule of the thirds is the Golden Mean

I think you had it sharpened too much. I can notice the sharp edges on the CLOUD FORMATION which is very uncanny

anakin : by the way, resize your image to either 500 in width or 500 in height.
