    mao ni mga questions:

unsay standard size sa aquarium? - Standard usually 20 gallons 24x12x12 maayo na start, not too big cya na hassle and also not too small cya so dli ka worry na dali ra mu change condition sa water.

what plants ang angay sa beginners? - For Background plants: pearl weed, sunset hygrophila, repens; Midground: Anubias; Foreground: Glosso - i have great success ani na mga plants make sure ok ang lights specially sa forground. Fast growing ni cla in my experience.

what fish pd ang angay and how many dapt? - I suggest fancy guppys (6-; Cory Dora (6); SAE (4); Otocinclus (2)... They say rule is 1 inch of fish per gallon, adult size nila... But before you start try to reseach about fishless cycling first or cycling an aquarium... I had bad experience ani needed jud ni cya if you don't want to keep on buying new fish...

what else need ? oxygen, filter, and etc .. unsay angay na specs? - Filter: I use an Over Head, dli ko mo suggest ani because bulky kaayo... I suggest a hang on filter or Resun Canister filter. I suggest water testing kit pro only if you want, pro as long as you cycle it right no need na ni...

sa lights? naa pud cya standard? what? - They say the rule is 3 watts per gallon so you if you have a 20gal tank dapat total of 60 watts, 6500K color temp (Cool daylight). Taas keo, kalas kurente, so invest sa led for long term we have mga sturyans na ga himu LED lights which i found cheaper.

temperature should be? No need for heaters na as long as w/n 24-28 celcius, tropical country btaw ta.

unsay soil gamiton? - Pwede ka mixture of river sand and clay (avail sa riverfront) or if you have $$ to spare then go for the aqua soil.

    and

esp where ta kapalit og ka tan.aw aning mga needs for set up.. - Para nako ang mga best stores for kay AquaMagic Online (Ml Quezon St., Cabancalan, Mandaue); RiverFront (Plaridel downtown); and Pipers Petshop (Duol sa Redemtorist). When you go there ask questions sad, maka help jud na cla sad sa unsa imu and your tank needs... For plans pra maka barato ka click this: https://www.istorya.net/forums/pets-5...ic-plants.html

If you are really really interested, do a lot of research before you start... Pra dli ka ma disappoint and dli cya hassle, longer ang right way pro mas better ang results... Also do not limit imu choice sa ako suggestion i just gave you what worked for me, find your own plant, fish and gadgets that will work for you just make sure compatible cya... Research research research...

thank you much... im planning also to join the club.

Hello Jane! I'll see what I can do to help you with your inquiry, my reply in blue:

Start with a large tank or a medium-sized tank, probably mga 10 - 20 gallons. Reason is, it is much easier for you to stabilize water parameters suitable for planted tanks. Also, it will leave room for your creativity IMHO.
what plants ang angay sa beginner? On my experience, easier plants to maintain are some crypts, anubias species, moss species, bacopa species and the like; these plants requires minimal to zero fertilizers and/or Co2 coming from Co2-based systems, yet still, they require Co2 from your fishes or shrimps because all plants need Co2 for photosynthesis.

what fish pd ang angay and how many dapt? Small, schooling and non-aggressive fishes. Pick those that don't nip the fins of other fish or those who don't eat plants. Avoid fishes that dig into substrate. You can also put a "cleaner committee" composed of shrimps and snails. Consider a day (or a week long) cycling of water para ma establish ang good bacteria and other elements para di ma shock imo isda ig introduce hehe.

what else need ? oxygen, filter, and etc .. unsay angay na specs? Yes, you definitely need filter systems. I highly recommend canister filter systems (which is a bit pricey) since they are efficient filters. For smaller tanks, a Hangover filter will suffice. For intermediate plants, you'll require a Co2 system, you can choose either DIY or a system that composes a gas tank, a diffuser and a check valve. For DIY, you can view it on youtube on how to prepare such systems. Oxygen injection via aerator is not a requirement; your plants can provide that. However, make it sure that your filter outlet produces enough surface tension for the oxygen to saturate. Other accessories are: plant scissors, tweezers, water test kits, liquid fertilizers for intermediate/difficult plants.

sa lights? naa pud cya standard? what?
    temperature should be?
Temperature mag depende na kung unsa gusto nimo i-achieve hehe.. As for your lighting system, pick the ones that has enough lumens count (which depends on your tank dimensions) or you can measure the light you want to achieve via wattage (still depends on tank dimensions) Daylight bulbs do the trick. There are also LED lights that are popular like the Mo2 brand that is sold here in istorya.net. You might also want to install a mini-fan used in CPU's para di mu overheat imo set-up.

unsay soil gamiton? Now I use designer substrates x mineralized soil for my set-up. But I don't recommend using such substrates for beginners; lisud i maintain labi nag kuwang ka sa mga items prior sa substrate establishment. Ang na-angdan na style namo kai bottom layer: red clay/laterite clay; mid layer: mineralized soil; top layer: river sand. Process sa mineralized soil kai you wash regular potting soil with water just enough nga mawa ang mag lutaw2 ug organic debris, then wash it again for several times until ma achieve ang coarse na feeling sa soil kung ibuwad sa adlaw. Some plants prefer other soil-substrate set-ups, others prefer non at all! Watch youtube for additional info.

    and
esp where ta kapalit og ka tan.aw aning mga needs for set up..?

    >Riverfront Aquaria Plaridel St. > Piper's petshop near Banilad/ near Redemptorist >Istorya.net via crissangelo <3 , mark nicho of Mo2 accessories and others.
