The Los Angeles Lakers have offered Byron Scott their head coaching job. The two sides are now in negotiations.

Maybe he will excel as an assistance coach, the problem here if he still talks trash a lot lolz... his defense is a plus factor for our young guys

We shall see , if he gets hired and does a good job then kudos to the guy , i'm hoping he will be a good influence to the younger guys on the team and help mold them into better players , be it defense or offense as he had both.

Being endorsed by Mamba is important , as long as he is in LA thats not going to change , and they are close in fact byron helped Kobe when he was still young in the league so their history goes back. But your right in a way , Byron doesn't have that good of a track record but who knows he was successful in LA as a player lets hope the same thing as a coach.

Yes Mark Medina was interviewed early , and he said Lakers have offered him the job na , its just a matter of working out the numbers and if thats done (if both parties agree) they will introduce him as new Head coach.

Coach Byron Scott did quite well with his coaching career having been able to coach for 2 straight NBA Finals with the Nets but still average though. He said that if he will be the Coach he will change how Bryant plays the game. Hoping these 2 won't clash

This year Byrons job will try to make sense out of this madness that the Lakers put together , most of us know were gearing for next yr and 2016 , its a tough job competing with what u have , overachieving. I somewhat think Byron is the better coach to do this.
