if the peso is appreciating look at it as an opportunity, ang question lang if ready na ba ka sa opportunity?
agree ko nimo bai.. but our lifestyle is dictated by our capacity to earn bai.. lahi ang impact if you have 600,000 sa bank vs 60,000 or 6M? but i do understand where you are going bai.

^bro Eve's, ka usa ra jud ko nakapalit ug t-shirt dire nga Made in the Phils. Mga 5 yrs ago na to, sa Old Navy. Since then, halos tanan nakong na palit nga t-shirts, Made in China. I was having a discussion btaw with my hubby about this. Nganong tanan nalang mga manufactured stuff here, made in china. Nganong halos zero made in PI. Why aren't we making more stuff, exporting more stuff? Why aren't we more competitive with China? Why are US companies going to China instead of the Philippines? US ally man kaha ning Pinas, why can't we get a bigger slice of the pie? Perhaps monroy can help us better understand. Honestly, I'm really interested bahin ani. When I look at our country and all we have to offer, we should really be doing better economically than we are at the moment.

Wala diay ka nakabasa sa previous post ni bro Eve's? Iyang gigamit iyang sueldo sa dili lang padala ug sustento sa Pinas, pero at the same time, nag hinay2x na pud siya pamalit investments. Para in the future, bisan wala nay sueldo, naa nay passive income from assorted investments.

sakto ni bai..nindot kung mag import ta..But pila man kabook ang importers sa pinas (kinsa man ni sila)? clearly, they are those who are living on top of the food chain (most of them that is). OIL is our biggest imported product which affects us all..karon, kinsa may nalipay jud? niubos na ba ang presyo sa electric or sa pletehan? wa pajud bai.. pila na ka roll back og tag 50cents but increase dayon og 2 pesos next week ang gas..ingon ana ang trend ron... isnt that called greed?

OT: mao btaw sad ako hunahuna Sis Dorothea.. if the govt is saying nindot ning nisaka ang PESO so we should be seeing investors jumping in.. tan-awn ta ning katag if naa ba jud.. wa jud tay mahimo sis kung di jud mosulod ang US sa ato.. unsaon sad nila pagsulod kung daghan buaya sa govt. ani nang tan-aw nako sis: kung ikaw naglingkod sa trono sa govt, sugot diay ka nga sudlan ka og compitensya? i think this is what is partly happening in Bohol, di jud kasulod ang SM nor AYALA sa bohol (possibly bec. gamay pa ang people traffic, but who knows? diba?)

Food, clothing and shelter, quality education sa akong anak.

i dont need to buy Flat screen tv when all i want to watch are news and a bit of telesryes
i dont need to buy iphone when all i want is to call and txt especially naay unlimited
i dont need to buy luxurious car when all i need is to go to one point to the other. a multicab will do.
i dont need to treat my family to an expensive resort or restaurants when all we need is bonding in the family. 1 kaldero of rice and 1/2 kilo lechon will do plus 1.5 liters of coke at the beach waiting for the sun to set.

and i dont feel its cheap.

this is what i will instill to my son that he needs not to spend much when he wants something. save the surplus for emergency ky dli nato mahibaw an unsay mahitbao nato.

but i dont discount of having to experience lifestyle sa mga dato sometimes. that is if naa na gyud mi sobra.
