    nutrition, exercise(aerobic and anaerobic) and much self discipline...while it is true that your metabolic rate will increase while you eat more, if wala sad kay lihok, manambok sad ka..its an equation, if you use up more calories than you consume, you lose weight..read Tom Venuto at healthyrecipes.com, it's all free and Ive been losing weight because of what he wrote

    oh yes, but being some 100 lbs. overweight from ideal, it is also necessary for me to lose the extra pounds..after a week of weights, walking and changes in food consumption, I lost some 5 lbs, and I was alarmed coz I was afraid I could be losing only water because it happened too fast, but I checked constantly and it has become constant...of course I am not deceived by just the loss in weight..as much as I can i do some free weights to build muscle as it is the only way i can considering I have a slipped disc(cant lift barbells and those machines and cant run) plus 30-60 minutes of walking each day..If you read Tom Venuto, he is not about weight loss but keeping body fat to a minimum

    18 pounds off for me in 23 days, my formula is 4W:
    will power(you've got to believe you can and you will)

    weights(20-30 minutes a day first thing in the morning)

    walking(30-60 minutes a day after my free weights session)

    watching what I eat(researched on low cal foods, substitutes for meat protein, easy on carbs, no food 2 hours before sleep, drink lots of water)
