Yes. it can even read flash drives, SD or micro SD thru card reader, and even portable hard drives.
so basically, you have "unlimited" storage as lng as you have unlimited sources.

Natively, yes. but 3rd party apps are better for that task. for productivity, you can read .doc, .xls, .pdf.. im not sure though about .ppt..

No. not yet locally.

I guess not everybody knows this, but there's a work around for the WiFi version to gain 3G access.

its a simple app called PPP Widget.

BUT it does not work with 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Sad, right?
