it's been a year i got married to a white guy,so far my life has changed, financially, and emotionally as a mother. I have a 6-month-old kid. we will be flying to my husband's place next month.

    my agonies are:
    as a foreigner,

1.my husband think our best tourism is the girls, and that's why he came here, then he met me

no offence, but this type of foreigners i hate most. most of the foreigners that i met (that dont work here), only looks for gurls. What does your husband meant when he says girls are the best tourism?

2.he doesn't want our kid to live here because streets are the playground of the children, basing to what he saw

hmm yeah. i enjoyed my youth playing shatung, tumba lata, takyan, taguan, marbles. but you could always live in a subdivision like kishanta ,molave, or maria louisa.

3.our politicians are corrupt,he kept asking me where our 12% vat go
honestly, i have no idea too!
i dont even know why USA is having a financial crisis. i dont understand why we go to war with iraq.

    4. He laughs at small shanty houses in major roads, coz for him is terrible to see,
and for you? is this terrible? this is your fellow filipino. i dont know what is more pathetic...
the suffering or the one who laughs at them.

    5. he never rides PAL,or sea ships of the philippines
sarap ng experience ^_^. how about island hoping? sulpicio lines scared him huh?

6.that filipino vehicle drivers are boang,no clues and never give way to ambulance
hmm yea. usahay, but i see some improvements. the only exception is if traffic gyud.
same reaction i got from someone who drives in australia. crazy drivers.

    7. hospitals are too far to be alive
i dont know where you live. better live in a hospital.

8.that ambulance brings you dead on arrival
hmmm.. and this is ambulance fault? and hospital's fault? better arrived than never.

    9. that majority of us lives in 2 dollars a day
converted to US money. yes. if they work in US, that's probably $10-$20 dollars. and look at how hard Filipinos work to feed their family.

    10. that everybody wants to leave the country
sadly true, but when enough money is earned, they go back and retire.

    11. that government agencies is money greedy,he can prove it,
tell me it's not true in other countries.

    12. that majority just eat rice and fish
FOOD!? PHILIPPINES? IS A FOOD DELICACY COUNTRY! People here just love to eat.
there are 8 meals by the way, in order: breakfast, snacks, lunch, mirienda, mirienda ceyna, dinner, bedtime snacks, secret.

where else can you eat strange bits of animals!? adidas(chickenfeet), kurbata(neck), walkman(pig ears), helmet(chicken head), PAL(chiken wings), IUD(intestines), dinuguan, the dreaded balut, bagoong, utan, kaldereta, sisig. food you can only find in philippines.

13.that we fight with each other
    hmm.. globally yes.

14.that we do not produce anything,if we do,no quality
at least we are better than china. ^_^
yet foreigners keep comming back to philippines, prefer filipinos. why? because we have character. we are fun and loving.

15.that we suppose to have a very beautiful place but the government is busy in corruption
god.. kapagud mag defend. but sadly yea.

    16. homes here dont have grasses
    Kakapuy ba ani. so?

    17. and he wonders what country's future be
    and more....

Best answer is from Micheal Defensor when asked - is there hope for our country? those living in squatters? those poor people living under the bridges? is there future for our country?
he answered - ofcourse! there is always hope. otherwise i have left this country for good. i will never loose hope. these filipinos need me.

and also, havent you notice? Filipinoes are taking over the world! ALL YOUR BASE BELONGS TO US!

all these are present in his mind,i cant change it,he shakes his head to my country
i cant take it anymore, its killing me,its hurting me,i have been defending my country eversince,i always give counter reasons to my husband, but it just makes him see me as no clue too!
now,im tired defending,in the end i realize my husband is true.im leaving philippines now,if i come back, that's becoz of my family.

yea.. good luck. all we wanted is the best place of our children to grow up. if you feel that its better in other countries, good ahead. i sometimes feel foreign countries are better. But I want my child to grow as a filipino, no matter which country.

    my 2 cents.
I agree to most of your comments. Philippines is not perfect.
This is not Canada, This is not Australia, This is not United States.
I love my country. This is where i grew up. this is where i belong.

I agree sa mga comments sa imo husband regarding our country. It's sad but from a foreigner's eye view mao jud na makita. Don't be so sad regarding his comments though because I'm pretty sure when u go to his country, you will have something to say as well. The best thing for you TS is to try to enjoy the best of both worlds diri sa atoang country and to the other country you are going. As a Filipino, sometimes makaingon jud ka lahi ra jud sa atoa! I hope ok ra ang imong pag adjust to your husband and his country. Actually, I look forward to knowing unsa na imo kahimtang karon. Mabuhay ang Filipino!(kato rang dili salbahes ok!)hehe

hopefully hatagan nig pagtagad sa gobyerno, dili kay ingnun nila nga kung wa sila kauyon maypag mohawa nlng silas atong country,

which is sayup, instead nga magyaw2 sila kay gisaway atong country, why not do some action regarding sa problem nga gi point

sa mga foreign visitors nato?? di ta angay masuko ana oi or malain, might be ma consider nga racist ang gaingun, but well,

if need jud nga tandugon ang atong pride para lang makamata sa kamatooran, then let it be, , ,

busy man gud ning gobyernog pangawat sa atong mga hinagoan gud, , ,

Sakto gyud ka bro jesse5648. Di ta angay masuko anang gipangsulti sa mga foreigner if ang gipangsulti kay tinuod. Anha rata malain if racial discrimination nana ilaha. Kung maka sulti silag bati about sa atong way of living or sa atong palibut then it just means nga bati gyud cya... mao gyud na cya.
