well, one thing's for sure. the negotiation was a success...

the combination of military pressure, the insistence of the no-ransom policy by ABS-CBN and the gov't, as well as the identification of the families of the kidnappers, led to pressuring the bandits to release their captives.

Maybe they thought nga wala clay makuha sa ilang kabuang but be placed in a worst case scenario nga finally ma-locate cla and would end up in a hostage crisis making Ces and company as their human shields. I guess mga itoy pa kau cla to go that far, especially when the authorities know who their parents are...we have to take note that their hard-liners have been killed or captured...

and I guess they also didn't expect that 2 of their members would be identified leading then to the subsequent identification of their parents and families also.

and maybe the authorities threatened them by saying, "Do harm to Ces and her crew, the same goes to your families." ....murag Jack Bauer sa 24 tv series bah...hehe...just my 2 cents...

lagmit gyud naay laing terms...it was mentioned that the gov't offered LIVELIHOOD PROJECTS to their families instead of a ransom...

basin pud ky the fact nga their parents were already identified, nahadlok ug gipang ingnan ilahang mga anak nga mga bandido nga, "Mga anak, undanga nana ninyo. Nailhan nata. Uwaw na kaau."....hehe
