But would the team have the defensive talent to go along with Hollins' strong defensive preparation?
I think they should first decide on what kind of team they want to be.
No sense in bringing a defensive minded coach if the entire organization isn't committed to playing team defense.

And I for one would like to see a more well-rounded coach for the Lakers. They've tried the specialists, (Brown, MDA) and failed- miserably. Let them try a more balanced approach and bring in players with balanced skill-sets as well.

You just said it , until we know what the Lakers want in their team it would be hard to guess who they pick , as for little chirps of Gordon , early arrow points to forward, personally I can't say thats a good pick until I read more about direction of team. Thinking while marshall is a good passer , we need more than just passing. I would want the Lakers to just go back to basics and truly address how they plan to build team and acquire the necessary pieces to win games.

While Hollins would be an okay pick to coach , i'm thinking wouldn't it be cool if they look at their old greats , like Magic , West , who knows they might just say yes to coaching. Bring back Showtime in LA !

i think in terms of coaching,cguro we need more of a balance coach in terms of offense/defense. we tried some defensive specialist coach, itago lng na2 sa ngan nga mike brown,but fail. suway pod ta ug all out offense nga coach nga itago npod na2 sa ngan nga MDA,but fail. we need the likes of pJAx. has a good relation with the players,and in return the players have great respect to him.

Lakers needs a coach nga naa daun impact sa mga players labi na ky kobe..

Naa jud ni role si kobe sa pag pili.. 2 yrs nlng gud gihatag sa iya para maka kuhag another championship.

Na fail man to si Mike Brown kay tungod atong iyang offense nga iya jud ipush sa Lakers maski nagkamuritsing na ang agi. MDA - purely offense no defense kana lang. The best coach so far sa market karon is Hollins with a fresh winning record so far, tested already with the way he runs Memphis. 2nd would be Derek Fisher - one of the best leaders in the NBA today and knows Kobe Bryant inside and out which I believe Kobe would also love to have him back. Just my 2 cents
