May u Rest In Peace bro pnoize
as an istoryan, although i'm new to this group and i don't know the person, i would like to extend my condolences to "pnoize's" family and friends... God Bless you Sir....
Notes: I realized that I was introduced to Benjie some two years ago and that he is in my facebook friends list....I just don't recall better. It makes me feel guilty 'coz we only get to remember our friends when they are gone Below is written in memoriam of his genuine friendship by Karlo Rama...Benjie is a common friend.
In Memory
By Karlo Rama
I first met Benjie sometime in 2000, if memory serves me right.
It was an unexpected and unconventional meeting because he simply popped up in the Sun.Star Cebu chatroom.
He was, I learned, new to Cebu. He came here with Magene to help out in the Cebu branch of their printing business.
His appearance in the chatroom turned out to be the start of a long friendship that I will continue to celebrate for the rest of my life.
I can no longer count the cups of coffee Benjie and I shared. And our always extremely lively conversations covered everything from atheism to X-Rays.
He once commented that our friendship was in such a way that we could argue on the top of our lungs but still say our good-byes for the day with hugs.
We did lots of stuff together. We were into computers, sci-fi and airsoft.
We once went rappelling down a cliff in Talamban. We were both deathly scared of heights but still managed to come down safely by laughing at ourselves.
We were into shooting and took the range officers’ exam together. He ranked first and I ranked a very close second because I copied all his answers except the last one as I thought it would be unfair if we had a tie and he supplied all the answers.
I was…. I am extremely blessed by our friendship and I hope he was as well. One time, my banged up old car with a defective fuel gauge went empty at the North Reclamation Area and embarrassingly caused traffic.
He dutifully came to my rescue with a can of gasoline.
My only regret is that I didn’t share his enthusiasm and passion for photography and wasn’t able to spend as much time with him when he ventured into the hobby.
Benjie is the kind of person who always does well in things he puts his mind to. His photography is an example.
And it is in the light of his photography that I choose to regard him.
With his photography, Benjie stilled fleeting moments into frames. The people that stood in front of his lens will grow old, weary and die. But they will live on forever as beautiful and young thanks to his photographs.
He too will live forever in the immortal and indelible past of those, like me, who he blessed with his friendship.
my deepest condolence to the bereaved family of the late Sir Benjie a.k.a. pnoize.
Our beloved and much-respected Pnoize, Senior Mod, was cremated at 3pm today.
So long dear friend.....till we see you again...
.
RIP bro..see you there soon!
