Kobe doesn't decide his minutes, that's D'Antoni's job. and if Kobe demanded to play more than he should, and D'Antoni relented, then that's D'Antoni's fault. mostly. don't be hatin Iam lol.

and to be fair, the reason the offence bogged down when Kobe returned was because he didn't know the intricacies of it since he spent all of training camp on the sidelines. maybe he got the theory down, but not the execution since he's only just practiced recently with his teammates. and you add the fact that Blake was hurt when Kobe returned and eventually got placed on the injured list like the rest of our PG's, Kobe had no choice but be the primary ball handler. and before you say he could have deferred to X. well, X is no PG, and it's pretty evident. the team admitted after last game how difficult it is to play without a PG.

as for rebuilding. well, we can trade Pau for a first round pick and move up the draft from there, or just wait until Kobe retires. the 48 million in two years isn't entirely on Kobe either, it was the FO that offered that to him. perhaps Kobe realizes he ain't getting that sixth ring so he's just going to get dem checks.
