Your Idea for an Anime/Manga

... its just that the thread starter seem to forget about this thread... Title: "all cebu aspiring artist's let's make a manga and be known"... how can "cebu's aspiring artist" be known, kung a simple scripts ni diem dili pa mabuhat... I guess it is easier said than done

i salute diem for providing something to start with...

@szichri: It is indeed easier said than done unless passion and discipline are involved. john_amor once told me that reading countless how-to books,
comic books doesn't make one a better artist. Practice does. And sadly, even with practice, it does not guarantee success. The tastes of comic book
readers changed. The market is also wary of mediocre copycats. Then there are practical considerations. When a comic book artist gets married and have
children, he or she could branch out to book illustrations, concept art, storyboarding, etc, possibly forgetting making money from drawing comic books altogether.

I can say that the comic book industry is just like showbiz in this respect. There are those who make the bigger bucks and lasts a long time while others fall to
the wayside soon to be forgotten. And there are those who rise fast and fall fast too (showbiz lagi, mag-pa-upaw, mag-drunk driver, mag-molest mga bata, etc.)

Take for example, Pakwan (para dili ko ma-libel). I wonder how many friends he actually has just in case he loses all his millions due to failed movie projects,
opportunists, possibly marital problem kay unsaon man mugwapo man dyud laki kung laum bulsa, etc? Tsk tsk.

btaw you can blame it all on me i have no excuse its just that i've been busy with a lot of probs lately and i'm looking for jobs mao wala nko mkaatiman dri i'm really sorry for diem and you guys. i was hoping man ta gani na
naay magpadayon ani nindot unta na mabuhi ug balik ang comics industry dri sa cebu ky daghan jud kaau talented
artists diri nya dghan jud kaau gnahan mg basa sa mga comics b4 like sukol mo! and popcorn and hbh's comic. i hope naa pay mgbuhat ana krn bsan out of hobby or for the love of it

sori bro, im not blaming it all on you... when you started this thread, daghan kaau ang nireply, nisuggest, ni comments, etc...
but when diem started to submit his scripts niaanam kagamay or nangawala na tong mga active posters diri nga thread(some even promise to submit their works)....

i for one is guilty sa "better said than done"... i am "drawing" enthusiast pero ang "drawing" dili man enthusiastic sa ako(tapulan mopractice siguro or pa busy2x sad siguro )
pero na realize nako nga no matter how bz you are, kung hilig gyud nimo you'll always find time to do what you love to do... "drawing2x/sketching" can be done anywhere sa CR(while na**bang ka), Bedroom, workplace, sa gawas sa balay, sa MOTEL, sa HOTEL, sa balay sa imo GF etc, possible man gani while having *** ... as long as your other hand is doing nothing...

@zerk: I hope this gives john a jumping-off-point to more opportunities. The other guy I think also has a chance is Weebong although I predict that when he
does get it, it won't be in the mainstream comics industry but rather successful one-shots or series like 30 Days of Nights. It's a pity we haven't had the chance
to see the work he did with diem. I hope he can reconstruct the pages.
