Technical Documentation Specialist

Responsibilities

Primarily responsible for providing full documentation support to a single development or small release.
Originate or coordinate the production and release of product-accompanying documentation (specifications, installation, configuration guides) delivering a set of proofed and signed off user assistance topics in appropriate format.
Liaise with project management, build and test team members, and other stakeholders to coordinate the release channels and dates.
Identify potential sales opportunities.


Requirements

Excellent English language skills, especially written English
Degree in English language and/or technical background in:

o Telecommunications
o IP Technology
o Linux RedHat
o Databases


Experience in writing end user documentation, especially structural documentation using DITA.
Experience in using technical documentation tools:

o XML Editors ( oXygen XML Author, Adobe FrameMaker)
o Graphics tools ( Adobe Photoshop, Corel Designer)
o rich media tools ( Adobe Creative Suite)
o SVN, Wiki

Exposure to the Agile software development method
Ability to collaborate with software development teams
Can communicate complex technical topics in a clear concise way
Possesses analytical thinking and effective time management skills
