Siguro ang uban nila but I think most of them just for the sheer joy of demolishing people's faith...faith which gives people their peace and makes their life meaningful, even if they only believe it and not giving enough reasons or evidences to convince the skeptics. Maybe they're just too shy to admit it that they really envy people who have faith and live life as a matter of fact more than they do...hehehe
You see, they are the one's who always insist about 'reasons' when the fact is this world according to them is meaningless...quite amazing.
But I think it's most likely that they enjoy this endless questioning simply as a way to assure themselves of their choice by constantly disproving (successfully at all times) people's faith...feeds their ego, since for them people who relies on faith are in crutch. It makes them feel better to let people know that they are outside from the 'herd'...and that herd is humanity. That they are Nietzsche's Übermensch...
I never imply that from a believer's perspective...I'm in your shoe when I type that.
I know you reply like this...but what I'm implying was that for any evidence what's the difference between the two?
I could you give you 300 scientific studies that show religious/mystics people are less likely to get depressed than non-believers but...can you suggest one study that says 'non-believers' are less prone to being depressed- scientifically...
^how about studies of people who resort to FAITH to address the problem, instead of anti-depressants. *spoiler alert: they make good suicide bombers.
why do you thinks faith talks works best to those who are BROKEN, hopeless, damaged and the likes?
coz its easy to pick sugar coated ones from the hard reality.
you don't see the "almighty GOD" testing their faiths by having Abraham scare the crap out of his son by telling the kid he's about to die as toying. you don't see anything wrong with a kid having to endure such brutal psychological trauma as a result of an "almighty being" playing around the innocent little kid's head. because oh by the way, it was GOD's will and we never question it.
of course it was the devil..the devil asked for a go signal from god to do evil things on job..so when he received the go signal the devil went on a rampage..in my opinion..God just used the devil for his own ends..the devil was just manipulated by god to do stuff he can't do..he'll do it if he could but he couldn't so he used the devil nlang..
yes job did overcome the devil..pero in the first place god already knew that job will never give up on him..so okay ra na kuhaon sa ginoo ang tanan ni job pinaagi sa yawa..if maghimo kog analogy murag ingon ani: Magkita mo sa imong uyab sa ayala around 3pm....now kabaw jd ka na patay kaayo nmo imong uyab sa imoha...so para lang ma test nimo iyang gugma para nimo..wla ka nitunga sa ayala pag 3pm pero niabot kag 8pm hinoon pero naa ghapon imong uyab didto until that time..pero namuti nang mata sa paghinuwat nmo..but still she was able to wait for you until that time..now going back to job...wla man koi makita na rason kng nganong gsugtan sa ginoo na buhaton to sa yawa..job..in the first place never did anything maskn once to displease god..unlike uban dinha na tagaan lang gani ug grasya sa ginoo wan-a malimot na dayon..so in my opinion it's unfair for job pd to be treated that way..even if nisugot pa si job na ipakuha tanan..his consent can't justify why god allowed misfortune to befall on hapless job...we shouldn't be taking advantage of anyone na nagmahal natog maayo just for the sake of proving it to someone else na grabe ilang devotion nato..sa akoa gani tan-aw maypa nipili nlang sila(god and devil) ug usa ka tao na medyo dli religious ug dli pd maldito..just to even things up for the devil..kai in the first place ang devil rai gbuang sa ginoo..
god doesn't need to have faith on someone...he already knows that job will never let him down or denounce him..he's supposed to be all powerful and all knowing so faith is out of the question..im sure if there's really a god out there he'll forgive everyone..coming from an extremely christian school i remembered this line from the book of samuel i think or somewhere in the bible..it said: "...love is patient...love doesn't keep a record of wrongs..." god is love man kaha dba..so im sure ma quits rana tanan..
