Actually that concept was propagated and supported by the communists in the guise of ending feudalism. The reason why it became the CARP because we cannot deny the fact that leftist groups was part of EDSA 1 and they are also part of our society. We cannot deny that leftists played a big role in ousting Marcos and ending authoritarian dictatorship in our country.

Probe latest incident at Luisita, Aquino urged
MANILA, Philippines - President Benigno Aquino III should order an investigation into the latest shooting of farmers by guards at the Hacienda Luisita, militant group Bayan said.
"We call on the Aquino government to conduct a speedy and impartial probe on the latest shooting that occurred at the Hacienda Luisita. More importantly, we call on the Aquino regime to take concrete steps in addressing the land dispute," Bayan secretary general Renato Reyes Jr.said.
Reyes said TV footages showed private guards firing their weapons at farmers who attempted to block the fencing of the land they were occupying.
"As in the movies, the Philippine National Police was late to arrive at the scene. We have not heard of any formal investigation and no arrests were made," Reyes added. He said the only significant statement of the President, whose family owned Hacienda Luisita, was that the landowners should be justly compensated.
"As tension builds up, the President is eerily silent on the issue...It was a statement that obviously was more concerned with the plight of the landowners than the farmers," Reyes said.
He noted that latest shooting at Hacienda Luisita sparked by a transaction between RCBC and the Luisita management.
"Farmers have pointed out the anomalous land conversion as well as transfer of the ownership from Luisita to RCBC but the Supreme Court’s latest ruling favored RCBC and the Cojuangcos," Reyes said.
He also called on the Department of Agrarian Reform to act on the recent complaint of the farmers that questioned the land conversion order that allowed the Cojuangcos to sell the land to RCBC.
"By nullifying the land conversion, farmers will have a chance to reclaim the land from RCBC and Luisita. This can be done if the Executive really wants to address the long-standing dispute in Luisita," he pointed out.

Louya sa mga farmers gi ilad ra sa pag pili og stocks.
if Pres Pnoy should ever comment on anything, it should be on HL issues since that directly concerns him. dili xa dapat magpagarpar about impeachment, he should inhibit himself from making comments kay wala siyay labot. of course, we already know he's the mastermind of the whole impeachment fiasco but since he's not from congress or senate, he can shut up.
^^ mao jud. I saw the 'exclusive' video footages of the shooting at ABSCBN though as expected, the story was relegated as a minor one. Why isn't this given better coverage?
14 people died, hundreds injured. And we barely heard a peep about it in 2004. ... Instead the media went on about demonizing then-president GMA. Yes, there is no blatant bias. If that had happened in one of the Macapagal/Arroyo estates, pwerte kahang pistaha sa media sah? No justice gihapon, pareha ra sa Mendiola. Ganus-a man tawn ning masa di magpa-tonto.
