i like the black lens of nikon. how come ang canon nagpa-puti man gyud sila sa high end lenses? they say its because of the flourite glass that is used in these lenses that is so delicate nga ma-affected to high temp (possible cracking) mao na nga white ila gamit para dili mo-absorb ug heat ang lens while naka babad sa init... make sense... but how come nikon can do with black, does that mean nikon doesnt use flourite?

Hahaha... got frustrated w/ my car being in the shop and went joy riding instead w/ the rental car to San Francisco... and end up at the show... and happen that my camera tagged along w/ me Too bad, theres not much concept cars on the show and no sexy models They haven't learned on how to attact more people for a show like this... MORE SEXY MODELS!!!!

About Canon's white lenses...I believe Canon's claim about heat and the fluorite crystal lens elements. But, IIRC, not all white lenses have fluorite which leads me to believe this is part marketing too.
