Pest problem, try these:
1. If it is only 1 or 2 cages, wrap the cages with 1/4 mesh screen.
2. If you have an aviary better use a mosquito screen and make sure that there is no way any rat or pest can go inside the aviary. Why mosquito screen because mosquitoes are carriers of the avian pox and it spreads like fire in your aviary.
3. Keep your aviary and cages clean, avoid spills on the floor rodents if they find food source will immediately adopt to the area.
4. Sanitize your aviary once a month if possible.
5. If you have time, collect all food dishes at night this is to ensure no rats will eat from the dishes, no food no rodents.
6. Massacre the rats, use pellet guns or use rat poison, i use zinc phosphate (mao man guro name) as poison for rats but be very careful as this is also poisonous to humans and other pets if ingested.
Kana lang sa, if problem persist dakpa tanan ilaga unya ibaligya sa namuhi ug bitin (snakes).
