Common man. The series wasn't won/lost on that single incident. Agreed; let's just say that Horry was out of line. But heck, they played them at full strength for 5 games! The Spurs beat them 4-2 on that playoff series. Even during the regular season, you cannot claim that the Suns have the Spurs' number. We've seen more harder fouls during that season playoffs but we don't see the fans "whining" about it. In fact, we've seen harder fouls in past games but yet why don't we see those fans whining...
Game 5 was very critical and was the turning point of the series. Phoenix might have played in complete cast for 5 games but the question is, will it be same if Amare Stoudemire and Boris Diaw was on Game 5? What if there was still a Game 7, is the Spurs sure of winning it? San Antonio was really having a hard time dealing with Steve Nash during that series and even though they are that strong, they still weren't able to break lose until Robert Horry hacked Nash.

It's not whining, it's all about being fair. Hard fouls are different from those which are done intentionally. I bet the Lakers fans would also react that way if Kobe Bryant was suspended after Raja Bell hit him with a clothesline.

tsk tsk tsk tsk the topic u open up is sizzling hehehe. basketball is a full contact sports but intentional fouls arent. thats why they are called fouls. we can play basketball without fouling hard... but that's not fun ryt? so naa pud mo point about amare nga magcge lang ug reklamo after a game. naa sad cya right mu reklamo. i think the suns can beat the spurs this year.. but im keeping an eye on the new comer new orleans?? new comer bha? hehehe so is utah who showed a very good defense against the spurs...

    OT:

this conversation will led to make some flashbacks on Michael Jordan era when he's been hacked by Ewing, Isiah Thomas, Charle Barkley and the rest of the hard-fouling crew of mid-80's and early 90's. Did Jordan complain that much? nope because he knows it's BASKETBALL.

Dont' blame the Spurs for hard-fouls during play-offs. Playing hard-nose defense and intense basketball is fair. Leave it to the officials.

It was clear that he was either desperate or frustrated.
Horry was very frustrated that time. I saw it in his eyes. but at least he make the most out of his frustration. He's a baller not a brawler.

Unfortunately for the Suns, stats from that season would say that the Spurs will still beat the Suns.

Stats don't mean a thing in the playoffs.

You better review how Robert Horry shoved Steve Nash, that was way beyond and worse than foul sunggo. And Suns with a complete line-up can't win against the Spurs? Neither can the Spurs. Both teams are tied at 2-2 before Stoudemire and Diaw were suspended.

Yep. That's why the Spurs won and they didn't.

You serious? Do you even play the game? Or played in an actual foul-sunggo game?

Both teams are tied at 2-2 before Stoudemire and Diaw were suspended.
That's right. And the Spurs are 3-2 in the playoffs against the Suns at full strength. And check the regular season where all games they played the Suns we're at full strength.

Yeah, have you? The Spurs constantly deny that they're a dirty team yet their game always show that they are. Don't you just love the innocent look Bruce Bowen give after almost killing other players? And Robert Horry just shrug it off as if he's so proud after sending Nash to the ground?

No wonder why they're the champs.

Game 6 was out of context because it was clear that the Suns lost the zest in playing after Amare Stoudemire and Boris Diaw were suspended. San Antonio almost blew game 5 away even though Phoenix was playing small and limited and noting the fact that San Antonio was the one in full force in that game.

Again, regular season standings don't matter in the playoffs.
