i still have some anti-venin here, mostly dor cobras and tigers and browns.. with the viper-bite antidote, i can get some... good thing about my work, i get to try out my own serums i helped develop here in asia... hehehe.

i guess even you have an anti venom, for sure the bite must be very painful (cant imagine)..

i think u should do a project on that in the philippines doc.. developing anti venom...
specially rural remote areas in the philippines where deadly snakes can be found...
in that way u can help people and earn in the same time...
anyways doc, if ill get a snake from u will give me anti venom?

nope mate, thats a T.flavomaculatus grinning... saying cheese to the cam... hehehe. venom level you ask? hmmm... let's say that if your a healthy 50kg male bitten on the arm or hands.. you probably would have avery good chance of surviving if you got medical attention on time. well, if not, the good consolation is that you would MOST LIKELY (i stressed most) lose the arm, digit, hand or whereever you got bit; about 90% guarantee... hehehe...

if your a kid or ill, well... i can offer you my prayers. you'd loose the arm and your ticker..hehe.

Aite, I will stay away from that one. GTP is a Green Tree Python mate!

we did that before. we did the research on phils. elapids, for the manufacturing of polyvalent anti-venom.. now, RITM produces the serum..

mate.. viper anti-venom are monovalent and quite expensive.. if you're a healthy 50kg male and you got bitten, you would probably need about 10-15 ampoules of the serum for the first dosing. and who knows how many more you need on the next. it all depends on how you react to the serum administered. there's even a great possibility that your body would reject the bloody serum (as most anti-venin are made out from equine plasma, which we humans are mighty allergic to..). and its also a bit expensive, about 2-3k per ampoule, phils. currency...

the best way not to get bitten?? DONT EVER EVER HANDLE THE BLOODY SNAKE. Only on the extreme need arises..
This is probably the best "Look but NEVER touch" pet you can ever keep...

i have new comers... a rosea sling and an albo sling... i wanna know, are these peaceful, docile, lazy critters? or are they fast, furious and aggressive type?

im trying to kill my arachnophobia, self psych therapy as you might put it... i hope it bloody works.. if not, i can always have them with my ice cold brew... hehehe...
