ang naka lahi sa cignal kay naa cla 8 channels man cguro toh na in HD format pero naka parat lang most of ds so called HD channels are not really well projected to our HD screen and dats the issues against them. Somehow they been accused of cheating.
HBO was already multiple times in HD 16:9 since 2 days.
But still, star movies does not fit at all, not on 16:9, not on 4:3, and quality is NEVER HD.
So we have as of now:
NGC in HD
History in HD
HBO sometimes in HD
Rest 5 channels... crap.
ang nakapait lang ana ug nagsubscribe ka sa ilang hd ky naka-lock ka for 1 or 2 years ba to...way laing choice - ladys choice ra gyud. kinsa kahay nakasuway ug dream nya ni switch to cignal para ato macompare ang ilang video quality
so guys, ok ra jud ni ang Cignal?? ok rapud ba ilang Service and ilang equipments? like di ba dali maguba![]()
Service is not good in my opinion.
Whenever you have a technical issue, the local agents don't know anything, and their installer is of course always not there...
And when you then call Manila (NDD call...), its the same like any call center... no knowledge on their end, no feedback, and of course never any return call, just silence...
So, buy it and hope it last long enough without the need of any service...
Cignal vs dream, layo ra kaayo difference sa video quality sa cignal. In fact I was disappointed with dream when they changed my STB for the new encryption. Dreams video quality even seemed to get worse.
As with cignal, I'm sorry softtouch had issues with fitting the video to his system. I knew before hand that only 1 is true HD - History channel, NGC was an added bonus true HD after my subscription. I had no issues though with fitting the picture to my lowly 32inch LCD. But one thing for sure, its a whole lot better than Dream. Two channels are true HD, the other channels are upscaled SD. Although upscaled, its better than SD, I can see the ball now when watching soccer unlike Dream, lol.
Its a new company, so its understandable to my standards. Who knows, they might add some more true HD later on with a big company backing them up - PLDT. If you want to enjoy more out of your LCD, 22 inch or more, I recommend you get this. I cant stand watching SD and other poor quality videos from dream or gsat on my 32 inch LCD. It defeats the purpose.
But my point is, they promote 8 (!) HD channels, and let us pay for 8 (!) HD channels, even there are only 2.
Upscaled SD is NOT HD, nor is 4:3.
Any LCD will upscale the picture anyway... so why do we pay for "HD" when its just upscaled SD?
And their website state (now) that 4 are upscaled to 1080i, there's nothing written that the 6 channels are upscaled SD, in 4:3 (they even state that you need a 16:9 TV... looks horrible stretched in 16:9 when the image is 4:3), and 2 only HD.
Sorry, but this is NOT right in my opinion, and a false advertisement to get clients.
How do you get star movies to fit when it is not 16:9, nor 4:3, but something between?
I have 3 HDMI display devices, plus an HD projector, also HDMI, and NONE can display star movies properly.

I happen to have studied the law on this and its says "The usual exaggerations in trade, when the other party had an oppurtunity to know the facts, are not in themselves, fraudulent.(1340)"
Abot na hinuon ta sa law ani. Anyway sir, we are both subscribers of Cignal, and we may have differing views about this, but it would still be best if they improve their service.
Mao na ni ron. hehehe. ang argument ani - kahibaw man siguro mo daan nga upscaled ang ubang channels and yet ni-subscribe mo, ....hehehe peace out!!!
