pugs really do have a smell unlike other dogs, thats a FACT!!! yes, ma cover up nah nimo ang smell with dry shampoo and everything BUT they really do have a STRONGER odor compared to other dogs...

all dogs will smell! whats wrong with you?!
you should know that, of all people, geez....

as i said, i can dare you, simhuta ako mga pugs
if muingon ka nga extra foul odor sya
compared to other dogs, ill rest my case.

fact is, all dogs will emit unpleasant smell
if good basic hygiene is not properly observed.

What's that smell?

You will often notice stinky smells from both ends of your Pug, and this is normal for the most part. But occasionally, he will omit a stench so offensive, even he will be embarrassed by its presence. This smell has come to be known in our house as the dreadful "Fishy Butthole," because it is what it sounds like. Apparently this disgustingly foul odor is caused by the Pug's anal gland in need of "expressing." As you can imagine, there is probably some nasty juicy liquid involved in this process and should be performed by a Groomer who is getting paid to do your dirty work. Be assured that there is nothing physically wrong with your Pug, but this issue will continue to haunt you if not dealt with regularly. Yes, regularly. This isn't a one-time fix. Pugs need their anal glands expressed as often as they need to be groomed.

sir basaha akong post sa taas... i said all dogs smell but much stronger ang PUG... lagi na, maau nka mu care sa dogs kay di nah manimaho but truth gyud nah... even sa gawas ila gani dapt i.drain ang anal glands sa dogs kay mas STRONGER (di ra sila ang naay smell) ilang smell...

P.S. wa man koy gi ingon nga naay iro ang dili manimaho...

nagka moist cguro toh xa sa ilalom mao ng gi molds toh xa... better if mupalit mog dog food by sack... try repacking it by lets say a kilo or 2, kanang sealed jud bah... thats one way of protecting your dog food...

The thing to look out for as a pug owner is their bad smell. Pugs have different glands than most other dogs and therefore give off a more distinct smell. It is suggested that you wash your pug twice a week and purchase a fragrance of some sort to couteract the smell. This is especially needed if you are deciding to keep your pug dog indoors.

it is really a FACT that pugs have stronger smell than other dogs, its their nature... CONGRATS to you for keeping your pug clean...

the prob with your advice is - you jumped into conclusion without even ascertaining the root of the prob.

you re-read the guy's question... he was asking unsa pagtangtang sa baho sa iya pug...
then the guy proceeded with "...as in super na baho jud na f ikapon nmo murag mupilit sa imo kamot..."

nya, tubag ka immediately "...baho jud na ang nature sa pug.." sakto ba na?
you should have asked the guy ngano "super baho" jud nga bisag hikapon ra niya murag mupilit sa iya kamot ang baho... dont tell me, ing-ana jud ka strong ang baho sa pugs?? i dont believe you.

as a practitioner, you should have asked first the guy's hygiene practice...
you should have at least inquired what are his usual grooming habits...
nya, imu man lang basta gi-generalize nga ordinary ug usual sa pugs ang ing-ana ka baho...
sakto ba na? think about that.

lastly, my pugs dont smell not because i do special or extra ordinary care for them...
i just do the usual... bathe them every week if i can... but at most 2x a month...
i wipe their faces clean with damp cloth after each meal...which does not take more than 30secs per dog.
i bring them to the vets (my trusted and trustworthy vets) for their grooming at least every other month.
other than that, i dont do anything spectacular to make them smell the way they do right now.
thing is - all dogs will stink if you dont make time to observe proper hygiene.
you of all people should know that.

ows? asa na pod nimu ni na "cut-and-paste"?

i dont wash my pugs 2xaweek..
i dont bathe them with fragrant shampoo(i use all-system shampoo which is far from fragrant)
but as i said, my pugs dont smell bad.

you know, the thing with advising thru "cut-and-paste"
is that sometimes, your advice may be off-tangent...
as what it is right now.

sir, who told you i was a practitioner in the first place?? maau kau ka mu himo og advice about asking for this and that, then you urself is jumping to conclusions... im NOT a practitioner... if mabasa nimo akong reply ako man jud xa gitagaan og advice... ur making a big fuss about my first statement when in fact tinuod man toh xa... mas naa man jud smell ang pug compared to other dogs thats why they need to be cleaned more often than others...

about sa cut-and paste, it was not for advice purposes... ingon lang didto "Pugs have different glands than most other dogs and therefore give off a more distinct smell." I was just pointing out the distinction between other dogs.
