Risks? Hmm, maybe I need to turn on System Restore again . I just tried downloading the 30 MB FlyakiteSP1 installation file on my dialup yestereday (2+ hours!!) and holy guacamole, I got a CRC error....

Ieww ... Lightstep! I used it some years ago and it was so confusing to set up that it's left a bad taste in my mouth and doubt I'll ever go back. I've seen some pretty sweet stuff using it though. Heres my desktop now:

Dock: ObjectDock Plus. Got rid of the Start bar. I have so much on my wishlist for OD+. I wish I was a beta tester with some say. tsk tsk.

Well, in a way we are beta testers since what they released was a beta, hehe. I gots another desktop at home, i'll post it later.

Icons: Default XP icons (Icon Packager didn't seem to cooperate with me )

Wallpaper: Actually, I kinda created this one myself, used two wallpapers I got from the Wisp visual style and one thing I got from www.themexp.org

Others: ObjectDock 1.02 and the Half Life 2 Skin for WMP 9.0

Still having no success w/ Flyakite as of this time... After that 2 hour agony and that CRC error, I won't be downloading it here on my home pc, ever...

Those large WMP/Winamp skins look great, but they're not very useful because they take up so much space, their just eyecandy i guess. I prefer the streamlined ones (like MMD3 in winshade mode). :mrgreen:

/me wishes I could replace the icons on the system tray with high resolution dock icons.
/me wishes OD+ wouldn't suddenly take up 99% CPU.
/me wishes OD+ wouldn't crash for no reason at all.
/me wishes I had a million dollars.


Have you ever found a digital clock for OD? One that works. I've forgot to how to use those clock things with hands. hehee.

Hehe, it's cos those macs look so damn good.. i got the flyout to work by Copying and pasting into the shortcut path (instead of typing it or browsing for it).

Tray icons can be replaced, just click and hold on the icon you want changed til the icon property window pops up. I've heard it doesn't work with everyone but it's works for me.

Oh, and vern, gimme a headsup if you find beta1a for OD+ aite? It solves quite a few of the problems (although there's still a loooong list of bugs and features in your/my wishlist).
