My parents named me after Rodion Romanovich Raskonikov, a.k.a. Rodia, or Rodenka, the protagonist in Fyodor Dostoevsky's "Crime and Punishment" ( Crime and Punishment - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ). They were fans of this author, and enjoyed reading this book, so they named me after the story's main character.

Based on casual research, my name means "Follower/Servant of Hera", from the greek name HERODION. In the Olympian pantheon of classical Greek Mythology, Hera (pronounced /ˈhɪərə/ or /ˈhɛrə/, Greek Ήρα) or Here (Ήρη in Ionic and Homer) was the wife and older sister of Zeus. Her chief function was as goddess of women and marriage.

Coincidentally, my surname is HERrera. Ironically, even though I am supposed to be a "servant of Hera", I am separated.
