as a policeman, Dumpit's aggressiveness is commendable. pero ang style niya nga mamusil una before mangimbistigar is wrong.

maypa moundang na lang na sya sa iyang pagka part time police, mag full time vigilante na lang na siya.

morag mas dako ug offer si Digong maong mo transfer na sya sa Davao. and morag mas hilom pud ang media sa Davao compared here in Cebu against vigilantes.

A friend, who lives in the interior portion of an area near the old Cebu provincial jail, goes home on foot nightly, sometimes late and always lugging her laptop computer. Aren’t you afraid of being mugged, her boss asks her. No, she answers. Dumpit lives here.

Dumpit is, of course, none other than SP01 Adonis Dumpit, the controversial policeman whose name has been associated with vigilante killings in Cebu. Reputed to be a good marksman, he is allegedly the kind who shoots first and asks questions later.

In fairness to him, however, it must be pointed out that to this day, no evidence has been presented to prove his involvement in the summary executions that had already claimed more than a hundred lives since it started last year.

But your reputation precedes you and in Dumpit’s case, it was enough to send shivers down the spine of the criminals in his neighborhood. Ours is a peaceful area, my friend swears to her boss.

But not peaceful enough for Dumpit and his family, it now seems. News reports said he wants to move to another neighborhood where his family is safer.

Earlier, he said he wanted out of Cebu, which had not treated him well.

You don’t have to be a psychiatrist to understand how the man feels, the Cebu City mayor says of Dumpit. His Honor is correct there. A policeman is also a human being. Dumpit must be hurting from the terrible things that have been said about him.

Some people may claim that these comments are well deserved because they are true, but we work on the basis of proof and in the absence of the same, who are we to say that?

His Honor also says that people, especially the media, should stop referring to Dumpit as his favorite policeman because it has a negative connotation. Maybe it has but only because the mayor has openly refused to acknowledge that those whose lives had been snuffed out, vigilante style, were also human beings.

The moment the mayor publicly denounces the summary executions the tag of being His Honor’s favorite policeman will be worn by any policeman, not just Dumpit, like a badge of honor.

Dapat e agi jud og due process. Every human being and as a citizen of this country should enjoy his previllage and should be treated as equal and that was called " justice ".

Darkwanderer: Let me site you an example, a father to his son/daughter. It is a nature of the son/daughter to do what they want ( explore ) as a young person regardless og kinsay mahasul sa effect of what they did. For the father side, it is his nature to guide and raise his children, give love to them and lead them to better future since u had that big obligation to God and your wife as a father. ( Remember the story of indian and the scorpion? )...

In relation ani as a law enforcer, it is your duty to serve and protect the civillian at all times. We have the law and we should implement this for good..... Do you believe that civillian authority is always supreme to the military? That is our law so we better stick to it or else you're the one who commit crimes in the first place for not doing your duty as a law enforcer.
