Again... ur not solving the problem... he wants to watch it on his TV... maybe its a 29" TV .. maybe he wants to share the movie with other people in their living room... can an LCD handle the viewing angle and the ambient light?Originally Posted by ajol
Whatever his reasons are.. its irrelevant.. in the same way as its irrelevant for you to say that LCD TV is better
Why not burn it on a DVD and show it on TV.....Originally Posted by vipvip68
LCD TV is better... and I leave it to the author.....
But TV is not really adivisable....
This is a useless exchange of points...
- Threadstarter asks help on how to connect laptop to tv
- and the help he gets is ...get an LCD TV.. its better
lol
First, He never asked...and no one ever argued... that LCD TV is better
Second, He never asked how to burn videos on dvd to watch on tv
Third, He didnt ask for your video quality expertise
He could buy an LCD TV if he wants to and he will get better quality. But he needs to know that he could just connect his laptop to his TV with just one Svideo cable. So the LCD TV isnt really necesarry for what he wants to do... its just an expensive option
You answered all the other questions except the one he was asking...
I only said the viewing experience will be better with an LCD TVOriginally Posted by vipvip68
for TV it won't be that good.......
You need to look at the end point first.....
What will be the benefit.... rather than spend money and you don't get what you would have wanted....
Mao na maayo pangu-tan-on UNSAY TUMONG ANI
Kay GASTO-GASTO lang di diay ka ganahan.... sayang kwarta....
so ur saying mas worth it to buy an LCD TV and not use a perfectly fine CRT TV than buying 1 Svideo cable?
Asa man daw ang "GASTO - GASTO" diha?
With the way ur thinking goes...let me know nya if ur "fixing" ur pc.... hehe maybe ull give me ur old one
Our difference of opinion is... for you Svideo out to tv is not good... for me its okay.. not great but okay.. especially if you already have a CRT TV.... wala namay additional expense aside from the Svideo cable.. which is mga... hmm 20 pesos? U could get it cheaper pa sa downtown.
A decent LCD tv will cost you around 45k-75k?
20 pesos versus 45,000-75,000 pesos??
Now kinsa man ang nag "Gasto-Gasto"?
If I know... you probably have an LCD TV at home and just want to brag to the whole world how good it is. Good on you!
While you're at it... palit nalang ug desktop. hehe
I will leave it to the author to decide.....Originally Posted by vipvip68
THE END POINT.... that is what is important..... Unsay TUMONG?
That is why I said the TV output is not good.
LCD TV images will be better.
So the author knows now....... What are the options..... or will he get the S-Video
You can not just say there will be additional expenses if using TUBE TV so its okay.....
For one you have to set your video card to 640X480 or even less if you card goes lower..... most TUBE TV have only upto 420 lines...
also the refresh rates will have to be set to 60HZ
They way you are thinking is SHOOT FIRST ask QUESTIONS LATER.....
Author could...
1. Buy the 20 peso svideo cable and connect it to his tv
2. If after tweaking the settings the video quality is not acceptable.. then... by all means... he can buy an LCD TV
At least naa syay options... dili lang....
"di gyud na nindot ang labas..ayaw usiki imo kwarta....you need a LCD TV"
Video quality is subjective, let the author find out for himself... 20 pesos for me is not usik to find out if I should spend 45-75k for an LCD TV
What then if ok ra diay unta ang CRT TV.. unsaon naman ang LCD TV? Ibalik sa tindahan?
The way YOU are thinking is ... SPEND 45-75k FIRST.... ask questions later...
@vivip68 lol

You could just enable dual view... Most laptops would just need a simple (Fn+F2) or (Fn+F5) key to enable that...Originally Posted by ajol
