    BTW, you should remember that if you have OEM version, you may not be able to validate your license again. Pirated copy na. OEMs license AFAIK, is good only for one install.

    just a bit of offt:

    correction, an original equipment manufacturer license only be used on one PC. when the PC dies so does the license key. but not that good only for one install, you can reinstall it as you want as long as its on the same major hardwares.

    Wala pa ko ka try any ug reformat ug OEM version, pero unsa-on man pag-revalidate sa license again ani bro? Unsaon man nato pag-prove sa Micro$oft nga wala ni gi-transfer sa lain nga PC?

    upon activation, the OS hashes your hardwares' identity and send it to microsoft for records. you can re-activate the oem by as easy as how you activated it in the first time. but as circumstances that it wont, you can call the local microsoft hotline to request for reactivation of your system.

    Kay naa man gud ko experience sa orignal Dell PCs pre-loaded with WinXP OEM. They have a separate partition for windows recovery. Pero once gi-reformat ang tanan hd including the recovery, patay na. Cannot re-validate.

    very welcome.

    i see, thats the reason why microsoft told me why there is an option by calling their hotline number for assitance =).

    and my cousin also experienced that, so he simply called and asked help from microsoft. they do have friendly hotline staffs there.

    thats also the downside to some non-cloned systems. seems to have quite restricted on oem builds.
