a good quality 550watts PSU would be sufficient enough for your system.

Generics are more of a hit'n'miss. It also depends on the usage of your PC, how many hours a day to you use it. Do you use it in a well ventilated or airconditioned room. These factors will affect the performance of your PSU.

If you want to identify a good PSU before you buy, The easiest way is to check the weight, compare the weight of a branded PSU and a generic one with the same wattage, you will notice that the branded ones are usually heavy due to solid high quality components used.

Unfortunately, when the PSU breaks down, it doesnt necessarily mean the PSU will konk out, check the capacitors of your board, almost all the time people replace their motherboards because of busted/bloated/leaking capacitors and a lot of times this is because of the power supplying being unable to supply stable power to the motherboard plus if the motherboard is also weakly manufactured, then this willl give your system an early retirement.

So to be safe get a branded PSU if you can afford it, but if you are on the budget, then its really up to you. You pay good money for your processor, motheroard, memory, Hard drives etc. why not just get a good PSU to be safe right?

    The choice is yours.

May I recommend the Silverstone ST56F @4480 only with 560 watts. You will be able to buy it an INSOTECH or COMPUSHACK.

    That is what I did....

get 600 watts dynamo.... my previous power supply lasted 4 years (RAIDMAX 400 watts). I would be satisfied if this dynamo will last 15 months...
anyway my cooler master will be arriving after Sinulog.... I will just keep the dynamo as standby or give it to my cousin who also use a Dynamo 600w for his Quadcore rig.
