Mao gyud bro lloyd, dba you're using a Sandy Bridge CPU bro? Nindot gyud ning Sandy Bridge CPU's kay CPU Die is Soldered to the IHS, mao overclocking friendly kaayo hehe. . I don't have an on hand experience overclocking with Sandy Bridge CPU. Can you share your overclocking settings bro? core voltage, frequency speed and the temps you're getting and what cooler you're using?

then kani, duwa'g BF4 (multi-player online @ 64 players... server BFVN... map: Locker Party) for almost an hr... nag lipong2x ko... bwahahaha... pero, duka na... yes... crash landing ron taod2x ang tiguwang... ahahahaha...





kay games ra man akoang gamit ani nya, wla man lain, wla ra ko nag padagan ug CPU stress software kani lang games kay real world use gyud ni nko sa rig... nice kaayo ang temp for a "slightly heavy" OC'ed rig... hehehe... pero, kun mag 100% CPU load ni, saka ning temp ani nya for sure. but, para sa akoa, kun dili nato gamiton ang rig sa apps na mo 100% utilize sa CPU, then why bother? its not a real world use man dba? stick lang ta's actual use sa rig para dili ta malisang sa temperature during stress testing unya mo gasto'g dako for the cooling system... maka gasto ta's "nice to have" and not the actual need... charing... hehehe...

Makasuya ang imong overclocking results bro lloyd, you were able to reach 4.6ghz @ 1.28V.. the temps you have is really nice 60c, how much more if naka custom loop ka. .kalamay ta ani if i OC pa to 4.8ghz above bro lloyd hehehe. .Sandy bridge CPU is a big success, .katong nag Ivy bridge pako, i was really waiting for Haswell to release arun maka upgrade daun ko, but pagkahibaw nako nga ang CPU die is not soldered to the IHS and Intel is just using the same bird's poop tsk3x discouraged ko oi! Malipay unta ko sa devil's canyon pero mao ghapon gamit ghapon cla og TIM. I still wanna know why, my unanswered question nga ilang ivy bridge, haswell and devil's canyon is not soldered to the die compared to sandy bridge?

My i7-4770k can only achieve up to 4.2ghz @ 1.220V it's bcuz of the abnormal temps i am getting even though i am already on a custom loop setup, how much more if i'm not? i still wanna increase and overclock more my Haswell CPU but if I do, maybe it's just too hot already. .achieved 4.4ghz @ 1.31V but temps are rising 80C-85C OMG! so decided to just stay with 4.2ghz. .hahays...

Bro since you have decided to delid your CPU, naa pd nice offering ang EK to mount your CPU block directly to the CPU Die, without the IHS, you'll expect a lesser temps with direct die cooling than IHS-cpu block, you just need to buy the "EK-Supremacy PreciseMount Add-on Naked" but mao lage you need an EK CPU block pd arun magamit nimo ang add-on, but this is really a nice option if you really want to improve more your temps...

Dako kaayo ni nga advantage nako since I am already using an EK Supremacy EVO CPU Block and I just need to buy their PreciseMount Add-on so that I can mount the CPU block to the CPU die directly. .ang kuwang nalang nako is ang pag delid sakong CPU, i still need a Vise and a better TIM hehe. .

thanks... sige lang ko plano'g utingkay napud ani nya for a 5 GHz OC... i'll try to use 1 & 2 mem modules lang for this elusive 5 GHz OC pero, wla gyud ko'y time diri... hehehe... sa benchmark nko, sakto ra diay pud na sya sa CPU load kay multi-player online mana. BF3, BF4, Cyris 3 and other FPS games will eat all available physical cores, modules or hyper-threads sa CPU on multi-player online @ max GFX setting... kaya ra kaayo nya (sa OC'ed i5-2550K) and OC'ed GTX 670 SLI on max GFX quality presets and all "eye-candy" set to maximum on BF4... wala gani maka abot ug 90% load ang CPU... hehehe... fps nya kay 90 ~ 100+ average... dips ug 80+ fps... 1080p ra man pud ni akoang monitor resolution... for now, no need to upgrade lang usa... pugong sa gasto ang tigs... bwhehehehe...

maong for now, i'll just stick to this Sandy Bridge gem kay gamay ra man ug peformance increase kun mag change platform ko to is higher/ latest siblings like the Devil's Canyon... for me, the cost involved is not worth it... happy ra pud ko's temps kay gasto kaayo kun mag Open LCS... hinoon, ok ra nko ang gasto... ang time to maintain lang gyud ang wala... paets... bz kaayo's work man lagi diri plus daghan kaayo'g hobbys (musical instruments) and sports... pero, ibog ko mag tan-aw sa naka Open LCS kay gwaps kaayo... hehehe...
