I owned the NBA 2K6 PS2... I can say that the game is better on graphics and on simulation. You can get jump-ball situations, more control on your shots, more pesky defense and good offensive plays. I played the NBA Live games from 1999 til 2005 and I can say this game is way better. My friend told me that the NBA Live 2006 is a rip-off. It is like the same as NBA live 2005. Less stuff added and its not worth it to buy. I also checked the magazines and websites. They say NBA 2k6 is better than NBA LIVE 2006, so I choose to get the NBA 2K6.

@ryu hayabusa y r u sayin nba live is funny? f ur really a basketball game fanatic u can really appreciate the style of nba live, yup i admit nba 2k6 is more realistic than nba live but the graphics of nba live is much better , so i think nba live and nba 2k are just two different styles of basketball videogames one is arcade and another is simulation

better ang graphics sa nba live? I don't think so....i said funny kay tanawa ra gud ng slamdunk nila. Nandako ang mga ulo sa players. Besides, its my opinion so wla tay problem diri.

it's your opinion so we respect it. but we who love the NBA Live series here are mostly basketball fanatics. we don't need super graphics and eye candy to enjoy the game we love. never mind the big heads, never mind the "funny" slam dunks, what counts is WE LOVE THIS GAME. We love the no-look passes, the wicked drop steps, the tight fadeaways, the hangtimes, the up-and-under moves, the dizzying crossovers. hell we even love Marv Albert's commentary. yeah sure, you can do that in NBA 2k6, but as you've said it's your opinion so we're ok with that. cool enough huh?

NBA Live 2006 does have better graphics.... try playing it on a gaming pc. You'll see. ^_^ (NBA2k6 does have better graphics on the ps2 but can't rival the max graphics the live can have on a nice pc) PEACE. NBA LIVE 2006 RULEZ. ^_^
