PH price, availability of ThL Android phone with monster battery revealed
Remember that octa-core phone with dual-SIM slots and a near-battery equivalent of a full-size tablet we told you about a month ago? Apparently, the ThL 5000 is on its way to stores early September with a price of P11,999, as revealed by its local distributor, Novo7 Tech. The phone's Philippine retail value is in line with the price on ThL's online store, though Novo7 Tech is throwing in a P400 discount to would-be early adopters so long as they provide their contact details.
To recap: The ThL 5000 comes with a 5-inch 1080p IPS display featuring one-glass-solution [OGS] technology and scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 3, alongside a 2GHz octa-core processor from MediaTek, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of expandable storage. The rear and front cameras deliver up to 13- and 5-megapixel photos, respectively. Despite its unprecedented 5,000mAh battery capacity, the phone's thickness is comparable to other smartphones in its class, at only 8.9mm-thick.
