It just doesn't make sense, players cannot be made...
No matter how big your heart is and you're only 5'3" , going to the PBA or NBA is highly improbable...
Let me add something to my previous post.
Have you imagined the Utah Jazz without John Stockton? Phoenix without Steve Nash? New Jersey without Jason Kidd? These teams won't work. Basketball is not just all about height. And even in the NBA's early stages where giants like George Mikan dominated, there's still a little guy named Bob Cousy who stood out. Gone are the days where "height is might." People nowadays are no longer intimidated by tall players. Yao swatted by Nate Robinson? Kobe posterizing Yao? Tracy McGrady leaping over Shawn Bradley? As Bob Cousy himself said, "Games today are not the kind of games we play half a century before, it's now played above the rim." Players now are more athletic and artistic compared to those before. They learned it from the past.
My point? It's all about IQ, fundamentals, skills, experience and heart.
