This is stupid. In the first place, the one who is weak and clearly incapable of winning the fight should accept the terms of surrender. Apparently the government has the resources and capability to totally wipe out the insurgency in the south. Why is it the government now negotiating with the terms being dictated by the insurgents?

This isn't a peace deal. This is a deed of sale.

i don't think the creation of bangsamoro is the solution to attain peace in mindanao, it only creates division rather than unity among us...

I grew up in Mindanao.. I saw Cities run by Muslims and almost same scenario from admin-to-admin... Corruption left & right, ghost employees ug uban pa.

A California senator was arrested in San Francisco over charges of corruption and an alleged conspiracy to illegally deal in firearms, with a "Muslim separatist group in the Philippines" as one of his clients, according to a British newspaper.

MILF denies involvement

In an interview with GMA News Online on Friday afternoon, the MILF denied any involvement in the alleged arm smuggling deals with Yee, who is temporarily out on bail.

"The news has been floated recently and we do not have any chance to validate that. Certainly, the MILF is not involved," Mohagher Iqbal, MILF chief peace negotiator, said.

"We are talking peace and we are abiding by that principle of peace," he added.

Asked if he received any information about the incident, Iqbal said, "what is certain is that MILF is not a party to that kind of situation."

A 2011 Xinhua.net story had quoted the MILF as saying previously that it had more than 60,000 weapons, factory, and technologies for making rocket-propelled grenade launchers.

The Daily Mail report said Yee was also accused of "accepting tens of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions and cash payments to provide introductions, help a client get a contract and influence legislation."

What if a few decades down the road the leaders of the bangsamor0n become more powerful and influential, and they will initiate a referendum to secede from the PH. And what if majority of the bangsamor0ns vote in favor of what their leaders want, can our Gov't. prevent it? It could be a Crimea in the making.

As a Filipino I wish and pray that this agreement will finally solve the conflict in Mindanao. Though easier to say than done, it will take a great Muslim and Christian leaders to transform this to reality.
