no idea ra ba ko bro bim kay wla ko'g 1st hand experience pero, nabasahan, ok ra kaayo ning mga Bay Trail iGPU on the 1080p encode and decode...

nag kulafu mode ko diri man gud atong pagka kita nko's AMD Kabini... completo na ang Kabini APUs na baligya diri... so, naa man ko'y extra na Athlon 64 X2 5000+ BE w/ HD 3650, aws, kani lang akoang gi gamit para dili mag gasto'g dako. pero, dili man nice ang HD 3650 on XBMC... the same sa Atom D2700MUD akoang gihimo, VLC player lang gamit nko... iwas gasto pero, lami i-upgrade ang GPU... ahahaha...

anyhow, balik ta aning mobo na baligya ni bro CRX... nice kaayo ni kay dual gigaNIC... naa man to nangita diri sa previous thread ug low power w/ dual NIC for his security cameras running 24/7, pwede siguro ni...

na, hanap pa's alketran kun intel NIC ni... eehhehehe... most likely, "Realtek" ang gamit ani based sa iyahang price range... kun Asrock ni, naa'y possibility na gamit ni sila'g dual intel gigabit NIC... mo dive man gud ni's price ang Asrock except on their OC'ing mobo series (Formula) na mahal2x gyud kay naa man to'y premium but still, cheaper than the competitor... just like on some of their Z97 chip set based mobo nga gamit ug intel gigabit NIC na... nice kaayo'g feature at a price that's lower than most of the competition...

wla naman namaligya kaayo'g intel mobo dha sa atoa man pud gud... sayang kaayo sa mo gamit ug FreeBSD based OS... mao pud ning naka pabor sa akoang mga atom mobos kay intel mobo man ni sila... gigabit NIC pud ang naa nila... maong, himoon nko ang duha'g FreeNAS box...

    @ bro dab_s_bad,

akoang I-confirm, kani na model na baligya ni bro CRX kay Gigabyte J1900N-D3V ni sya then ang Gigabit NIC kay "Realtek"... ug ang price ni bro CRX mas barato pa compared diri. mahal diri gamay... saying lang gyud, dili Intel based and NIC... nice gyud unta ni kaayo if intel based pa oara gamit ug FreeBSD based OS like FreeNAS...

murag ok ra basin ang freeNAS ug pfsense to customize the ISO to include drivers for realtek nics, ug compatible man sab ang virtual LAN drivers ani sa KVM, (eXSI, vmware), VirtualBox (I think ). I was able to customize before a pfsense installer to see realtek nic of my old ATOM mobo.

basin adto nalang ko with i3 with "T" suffix (pero bwisit ka-ayo wala baligya diri )
or if dili gyud ko kita, then regular i3 nalang (then underclock pa gyud to save power).
then I'll go with regular ATX mobo for the sake of plenty of pcie slots. (basin mag dual WAN ko! haha) [or even adding these freemium VPN nato diri for additional "turinting" boost ]..., ambisyoso ra ka-ayo ko basin ...

reason for this setup is for kana lagi (pfsense + captive portal ) + freeNAS + turint combo in one box.
so dapat unta nga na-a vt-x ug vt-d aron bibo!

ganahan unta sab ko mutan-aw ug AMD counterpart pero no idea ko where to start
the only thing I don't like from AMD is the 'heat'
the good thing I like from AMD systems is that the AMD mobo's are MORE feature rich compared to INTEL couterparts/variants
and lastly, the built-in radeon on AMD is too good for adding XBMC'ish media center for the said box above ^_^

ang gamit sa dual Intel gigabit NIC on the NAS box kay ang speed ra gyud bro ug uban benefits sa dual NIC... nice man gud kaayo ang driver's support sa FreeBSD ani... both FreeNAS and Pfsense are based on FreeBSD man... in using FreeNAS, dili ma maximize ang gigabit (or more) speed sa network if Realtek, Marvel, VIA based chip set ang gigabit NIC... tungod sa driver support man lagi... mas preferred the FreeBSD developers ang Intel chip set based NIC... mao ni akoang experience nila... single connection ra ni...

    > VIA and Realtek based: Transfer and receive speed --> 40 to 60 MB/s
    > Intel based: Transfer and receive speed --> 80 to 100+ MB/s

for AMD based chip set, based sa discussion, naa'y mo likoy... tungod dili supported sa FreeBSD ang tanan AMD chip set... preferred ang Intel... murag dako ni'g monetary support ang Intel sa FreeBSD developers dah ai... naa'y daghan "T" variants diri... ug "L" variants on the Xeon... sa man? mo uli ko ron coming June....

sample links... naa pud IB and Haswell low wattage CPUs from intel's Celeron to i7 on the desktop and Xeon on the server/workstation CPUs... kani lang ang sample...

    SB i3-2100T priced @ 466 rmb (around 3.3K php)...

SB Xeon E3-1220L priced @ 630 rmb (around 4.4K php)...

by the way, dba, naa man ka'y Xeon? dili ka ganahan ato? available pa to, pwede ra ta trade sa gusto nimo na lower power intel CPU... ngita ta's preferred nimo na CPU... hehehe... kay ako, need ko'g Xeon for my new FreeNAS server project pud... ECC mem modules ang akoang gamiton ani kay for office use man ni sya... para safe ang data...

na-a pa ang XEON bro!, its not that dili ko ganahan ato, in fact, I like it much, its just that the Proc does not match what I'm using it before and the thing is..., if ako gamiton, matulog ra ang ako XEON

ikaw ra basin gihulat ani ako XEON ^_^

the SB XEON E3-1220L..., too good!..., must resist! ^_^
are those brand new? cant view le' sites ATM ^_^
I have still ample time basin to think..., since you are to return here in June.

even so..., having the E3-1220L will still make the system IDLE as hell (if XBMC is not on the list)

^ yes bro, these are bnew but on "Bulk" packing maong ubos ang price... but kun boxed unit, taas2x ang prices... ingna lang ko's preferred nmo na low wattage CPU para akoang mapangita diri... 20W ra nang SB XEON E3-1220L... dual core na sya... but, that GEM is powerful in crunching data...

or kani ai kun dili ka mag need ug taas2x ug CPU crunching capability... G1610T (35 W)... priced @ 170 rmb (1.2k php)... price wise, nice gyud kaayo kay barato lang sya...

    INTEL XEON E3-1220L 2.3G
