add lang ko to clear CAT-5 ug CAT-5e, dli na pariha.. bro f ur using cat-5 100mtrs ra iya maximum distance to avoid signal loss f cat-5e imo gamit 350mtrs ang maximum distance para d ka mkaexperience ug signal loss.. b sure f unsa imo UTP imo gami2n..
    hehehe...

cat 5e is merely an update of the now defunct cat5 specification. ang main difference is added specifiation for far-end crosstalk which make it ideal for gigabit networks. it does not improve the range ... basin imo gi confuse ang 350mhz sa 350 meters. much like cat 6 is using 500mhz.

Cat 6 is already defined in the TIA/EIA-568-B.2-1 (Addendum 1) and (TIA/EIA-568-B.2-6 (Addendum 6) , hence.. it's already a standard.

Theoritically, the highest standard for both shielded and unshielded is Cat 7 (Officially called Class F Cabling). Although this isn't TIA/EIA standard, it is a ISO/IEC 11801 standard nevertheless.

Ammm... Cat5e is only rated at 100Mhz and Cat 6 at 250Mhz... again based on standards.

partially correct bt... i jst wana clear things ky bcg maglibog n nya...

Both CAT-5 and CAT-5e have 100 ohm impedance and electrical characteristics supporting transmissions up to
    100 MHz, CAT-6 is using 1-250MHz not 500MHz, and 350MHz belongs to CAT-7.

The differences between CAT-5 and CAT-5e show in all aspects of performance: capacitance, frequency,
resistance, attenuation, and NEXT( near end cross talk) u have mentioned. CAT-5e components were designed with high-speed gigabit Ethernet

in addition CAT-5 perform below standard during high-data transfer man gud while CAT-5e ensures that the cable will support applications that require additional bandwidth, such as gigabit Ethernet or analog video.
