True, what Trillanes did was against the law. Now, can anyone please list for me the names of political leaders, starting from the president, who has been faithful to the letter of the nation's laws? If Trillanes has to be denied his position as a senator because of a misdeed, shouldn't all those politicians who cheated or who are corrupt be treated the same way too? What is good for the goose should also be good for the gander.

To put it in a different light, is a corrupt politician more acceptable than a soldier who stood up for what is right? Is it best for the country to have political leaders, hungering for grease money or who cheats and lies to the people, formulating our laws or should we try someone who has shown some sparks of unabowed principle?
