    fastehernet manila = 192.169.12.1
    serial pldt cebu= 192.167.12.1 then ang sa pldt serial 192.167.12.2
    fasthernet cebu = 192.166.12.1

    serial1 globe manila = 10.0.12.1 then serial globe 10.0.12.2
    fastethernet manila = 10.0.13.1
    serial1 globe cebu = 10.0.11.1 then serila globe 10.0.11.2
    fastethernet cebu = 10.0.10.1

    my static config = naa diay ip classles
    pldt= priority the sya kay iya administrative distance default man
    manila= ip route 192.167.12.0 255.255.255.248 192.168.12.2
    manila = ip route 192.166.12.0 255.255.255.248 192.168.12.2

    cebu = ip route 192.168.12.0 255.255.255.248 192.167.12.2
    cebu = ip route 192.169.12.0 255.255.255.248 192.167.12.2

    ed, i would not recommend static routing in your case here. manila and cebu are not directly connected to each other and when there is a topology change, where a link goes down, the onlyÂ* way to switch routes from pldt to globe is to manually configure the router. manila could not determine if the link between cebu and 'pldt backbone (cebu)' is down because manila is directly connected to 'pldt backbone (manila)' where the interface is up and will continue to forward packets. that's why you need to turn off the modem is manila (or shutdown the interface) in order to re-route to globe.

    NOTE: there is no routing updates in static routing, that's why dynamic routing protocols exist.

    and it seems that you only want to use the pldt link mainly and use globe as a back-up link. don't you want to load balance (load sharing) between these two links? i see load balancing as more cost effective rather than focusing on just one link.

    anyways, the answer to your problem is to configure a dynamic routing protocol. whether it would be RIPv2 or OSPF, it will definitely solve your problem.

    don't worry, i'll try to lab this one up tonight and see what happens. i'll paste the relevant configs here.

    @ridney bro, did michael pass the exam?
    myx_it, sorry i didn't notice the question from your post. michael didn't take the exam. infact, his ccna expired last year as far as i can remember and took the bsci exam to recert his ccna but unfortunately didn't make it. he said that he will be taking again the ccna cert and prepare for ccnp for good.

    r0mm3L, you don't need to work for a service provider to get experience with cisco hardwares. there are lots of companies out there that are deploying cisco for their lan/wan infrastructure. but then again, service providers should be the better choice.
