mura gud sa Bataan nuclear power plant.. kung ma gamit na nga power plant, plus points sa mga marcos

posible man gyud unta kaay0 ni...ang g0byern0 lng wlay klar0 gud.
seriously guys? anything that is from the Marcos time is going down the drain idea. Most people here are allergic to the word 'Marcos Era' good or bad things it may be. That's a fact. Sad Fact.

So might as well leave it, and leave whatever help it can possible generate big or small?
during my college years i ask my professor who was a ME and at that time the Dean of College of Engineering ...why are we not extracting heavy water ( Deuterium) since i heard that its abundant around the Philippines and his was: We Can't ..at this time why ?
- first you need a rig that will pump out the heavy water, the cost is astronomical
- second, you need a very strong pipes that can withstand high pressure he explained that as you go deeper the pressure is multiplied twice of that in the surface thus before you could reach the heavy water your pipe will burst and you need to replace it again and again. Loss of production means loss of profit. No investor will do that.
- also don't forget that this is sea water which is highly corrosive, it will eat up our pipes and reduce them to rust.
- last , we are being visited by typhoon every year and you cannot operate under extreme conditions.
i don't believe m0st...its a just a matter of personal opinion. there are n0 clear and definite facts supporting it.
we can just leave it there of course...but, bear in mind, sooner or later..non-renewable energy sources (petroleum/fossil fuels) will be depleted. whether we like it or not, other sources/forms of energy (alternative/fusi0n based) has to be researched/explored.
if ang intention ani is to use it with fuel cell,
a. fuel cell are currently very expensive, 1 kw stack murag around 200k php at least di ko sure... unless they can find a way to replace platinum catalyst with a cheaper one. Naa na dghan research about it.
b. fuel cell life is sa pagkaron is in few thousand hrs pa ang guaranteed usage time. you can buy a more expensive one to have longer life span.
c. if you use hydrogen in its gas form, dangerous kaau na, dali ra kaau mobuto. Handling may problem ana. Currently hydrogen is not so expensive. Infrastructure may kailangan ana. A lot of companies are doing something about it.
d. if ganahan mo mag venture ani apila ko..hahaha im working with fuel cell related stuff mostly sa hydrogen on demand system, using different types of fuels. Hydrogen on demand kay a way ma avoid ang problems sa handling, and mareduce ang weight sa system.
Wala pa jud ko nitanaw aning deuterium pod og feasible ba.
hopefully someday makacontribute pd ta sa ato nasod!
very nice points there...
but it's more of an excuse than reason...
on your points...
- probably the same concern when oil was found...
- probably the same concern when oil was found...thereby Research and Development was developed...
- probably the same concern when oil was found in the oceanfloor...thereby Research and Development is developed...and got them the offshore drilling...
- this needs to be taken into consideration...
^^ sakto boss kit.
but before any repercussions to incur,
pang ilisdan gyud unta ni dapat ug mga bag.o
ug mga batan-on ang politiko nato. kay kung pugson ni
murag mo transform na gyud ni si enrile sa iyang
croc form.
