ey!!!! RICHARD79, ponder on this...the music that you listen to, may be mediocre OR crapy to other people. music is an expression of ones emotions. dont discriminate or judge people who listen to differnent genres other than your own. i like to listen to all kinds of music there are some that i love and there are some that i love to hate but i dont go out and tell other people that their listening to crapy songs, because you cant control other people's likes and dislikes. oh!!! and by the way YEAH!!!! YOU DOSOUND LIKE YOUR BRAGING BOUT YOURSELF BEING A VERY DEEP MUSIC ENTHUSIAST. hehehehe non of the mediocre crap aint that right.
definitely correct. Music is art. so just respect other style nalang. ok ra mo comment sa ila but kung mka tamak nka sa pagka tawo nila, thats bad na..
richard79: I would suggest you make your own style of music that fits on taste kanang di ma luma.

Sigurado kaha kini si Undoy richard79 nga Rock "mediocre"?
Basin hiphop\rnb\pop\techno ang buot niya ipasabot?
To each his own...
I think you're music is limited to what u hear on radio and MTV. One thing i can say, Explore...
And speaking of Punk. It isn't even originally intended as a music genre. It was a movement birthed out of rebelling the norm of those days (the norm of those days are progressive rock, jam bands, and copy cats of Led Zeppelin, and also DISCO later on). Those teens were tired of the complexity and almost robotic take in music. They feel music lost it's soul. It loses it's power to relate. And so they made their own style. Country beat being doubled with agressive vocals and some garage styled dirty guitars and 3 chords and the truth and u got the music now known as PUNK.
Rock 'n Roll is all about feeling the music and being true and honest to your craft.
then again to each his own. You might not relate to this kinda music but some people do.
And some people might not relate to Martin Nievera but im sure u do,,,
Let's stop pretending and be honest with ourselves.
Clever or not, naa jud music nga inig paminaw nimo makarelate dayon ka and it means something.
Example; First nako paminaw sa ka Chris Thile's Raining At Sunset it really blew my mind away and when i heard The Punch Brothers (Chris Thile's current band) 40 minute masterpiece The Blind Leaving The Blind, maka feel jud ko sa pain ni Thile when he wrote it. The piece has lots of spaces for improvisation yet 3/4 of the song is cleverly disciplined. It's a mixture of jazz and classical with bluegrass intrumentation...
It may be a song pillared on technicality yet the emotion is there. And if u know Chris Thile, then you know that he's a genius when it comes to mandolin yet he knows "when to" and "when not to" play.
He sure do know the technical side of music and he uses that knowledge and skills to write an honest song based on his emotions and reality. In other words, he write music for the soul and not for showing off.
Another example is listening to MxPx Punk Rawk Show. It's a simple punk rock show with it's dirty guitar all over the songs and messy vocals. Very different from Chris Thile and Punch Brothers. Yet the first time i heard that song i was taken aback. The spirit of the music took me away to places i cannot explain. I did relate to the music and still do now...
the point is listening to music is a wonderful experience. It's a plus to know the techy side of music but admit it, a good song is a good song, techy or not...
so what's on my 5 Cd changer?: (i don['t use itunes that much and don't have an iPod)
