hmmm...DVD's (original) would be expensive specially purchasing in state.
i think theres another option for that..like downloading ebooks in Max, im sure there is...
just research lang more and browse it more... hmmm...

Hehe... already have a lot of ebooks on Max. I already have four gnomon dvds... still saving some money for more... hehe...
Would've been nice to have Metreon as another option but seeing as I learn more from dvds for almost the same price...

i heard... the Metreon's Instructor is good... at last that's what my friends say ...

and murag nindot man sad ilang topics... di jud daw kaau basic kay ni require man ug at least gamay knowledge sa 3D rendering, animations and stuff...

if u hav not the passion for this art i doubt if ul go that far. self study is still the best way to go. if u got the creativity it wont be hard to pass the technicalities of using the tool (3d studio max). passion will fuel ur self studies and you can be better than anyone has gone to animation school but gives middling study. there are already tons of available tutorials online thats at ur disposal. just my two cents.

You're right Hypen! Self study sure taught me everything I know today. I remember those long nights staring at the monitor, surfing through endless websites and forums just to get that tiny little information that I need. Not to mention priceless new techniques you can't find anywhere but from pros out there who are willing to share their secrets. Ah... I love the the web.

Just got to check this thread again. That's good finally someone posted a link to the mentor's artworks.

I'm just a bit confused after seeing his 3d stills. Plus his demo reel in the video section didn't really show off what his real strength in 3d animation. Seems like most of the clips are just WIPs and definitely far from finish. But I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe his most recent works were not included in his multiply account.

and there are from manila and come here just to teach cebuano a 3D. well they think people in cebu dont
know have that much talent in 3D..hehehe
ila noun todloan ang mga bisdak ug 3D na mas nindot pa ug mga works mga bisaya sakay nila..!!
