ang pag.utong ug pag.ginhawa are two different function.

while the other is voluntary (pag.utong) but breathing is natural(involuntary). As the thread title states...we can breathe, that's far from happening unless evolution would expedite and permit us. Until that happens, there is no way humans can breathe underwater naturally.

hold our breath - yes but breathe naturally - no.

In the purpose of this study was conducted an experiment that involved a symbiosis of salamanders and algae which produce oxygen. This combination was successful in the sense that these two are being connected to each other after the experiment, which proved that there may be a successful symbiosis between plants and vertebrates.

Of course, future studies will focus on the development of this process, so that one day it could be used on humans. In this way, a human could be under water could use some of the skills that all algae have, which would become a source of oxygen for humans.

It is so far from possible because humans' immune system will ward off marine algae. Symbiosis will never occur between the two species. It is not hard to believe that salamanders and marine algae are connected to each other because the former are amphibians. They can live both on land and water.
