kasimang ba, against dynasty unya naa mga ilado nga political names. duh.
Bro, our guest candidates are not our speakers this Sunday (note "guest"). Among our speakers are Dr. Jose Abueva, former president and Professor Emeritus of Political Science and Public Administration of the University of the Philippines and Lito Lorenzana, former undersecretary of the DILG and DENR under Cory Aquino.
I can understand your, indeed everybody's frustration with our political system. But at least here are ordinary Filipino citizens who are trying to build up a real membership based party (we have no big political patrons, our members are the most important piece of the party) with real principles. You should at least give the orientation a chance. No obligation to join afterwards.
But after talking, we will ask you to take an active role in our political system. Mao ng mga Americano, if you ask them unsa ilang political party, maka tubag jud na sila, Republican or Democrat, usahay Libertarian pa o Communist Party. Pero dre sa atoa, depende kung kinsa ang lig-on na candidato. That's why you can find candidates who have run in different parties every election. Their parties are built around personalities, not principles.
Beyond presenting alternative candidates or educating people to be a wise voter, we will be asking YOU, and the other members, TO PROVIDE THE CANDIDATE. Once the party is built up, we will choose our candidates from among ourselves who can best represent the goals of the party. Remember what happened to Mike Rama? He was a paying member of the Liberal Party, but because personalities are still more important in Philippine politics, he was dropped like a hot potato. That would not have happened if political parties here were built around ideologies and the members were the ones who determined policy.

Is the theme about anti-dynasty,
why is it that federalism was incorporated,
is there a correlation of the two?
Yes, bro, we do have a website:
CDP | Centrist Democratic Party of the Philippines
but all of that will be transferred soon to
CDP | Ang Partido ng Tunay na Demokrasya
Bro, both are important points in our platform, but they are not necessarily correlated. Federalism by itself will not ensure the end of dynasties but will decentralize some forms of governance. Because we believe in the principle of subsidiarity, that smaller things should be handled by the smaller structure (local government) the federal government is ideal for the Philippines, especially with the emergence of autonomous regions. Please join us on Sunday to get an in depth view of our ideals.
Can federalism,
a threat towards national unity,
a portrayal of regionalism?
Hmmm.... that's a valid question, but there are no examples (at least known to me) of a democratic federal government breaking up.
Now this is not the party line, but my own personal belief.... so attend the seminar on Sunday if you want to know official party policy on the matter. But who's afraid of regionalism if it's a regionalism where the differences in cultures are respected? Where a bisaya can be bisaya? (Of course we'd have to define what kind of regionalism we're talking about). We are more likely to be united as a nation if we can respect the differences in culture, than if we force everyone to adopt one culture in order to supposedly "unite" us. That would only breed resentment and hatred towards one another, and yes, rebellion even. Speaking for myself, bro.
I was excited for these until I scroll down and see this..
For LoL, I did not see the logic of the seminar. For Senator (guest candidates):
1. Bam Aquino
2. Koko Pimentel
3. Chiz Escudero
Bro, please take a look at the program and really consider joining us on Sunday before passing judgment on the basis of our guest candidates alone. Remember they are guests, not members. All our candidates in 2016 will be coming from our own ranks and if you join us on Sunday, you may even be one of them. You may want to visit our websites for more information about the party before you decide.
We are a membership based party, ordinary Filipinos. We have no political patrons, we answer to ourselves. This is a shift from the traditional Filipino political party that is built around personalities. We are attacking the problem of the Filipino political system at its root.
This is the spirit of EDSA manifested in a political party. In 1986 ordinary men and women took to the streets to finally oust a dictator. Twenty six years later, we have little to show, so once again, ordinary men and women are taking the matter into their own hands. This is true people power, a peaceful revolution of the people. You can either join the movement and actually try to help your fellow Filipinos fix things, or you can continue to sit down, do nothing, and let our country continue to be run by traditional politicians.
