Hope they also improved sa thermals... useless to have a fast cpu if u need so much power to drive it and it ends up being a space heater.

yup the previous FX Bulldozer is d' beast. Consumption almost twice my PII X4 965 B.E at 4ghz with performance on par sometimes faster but by a small degree, given its an 8-core chip and based on the 32nm process, that is no way of an improvement in my book.

the only place i can logically see the fusion apus are in ultrabook gaming pc's .

Mura man ug gi brute force sa AMD ilang chip just to get decent performance. Reminds me of Intel's P4 era.

X2 5000+ BLack ed pa ko and ive been waiting for the promise that was Bulldozer which turned out to be a bust. Kapuy na sige huwat sa AMD. They have to best intel not just on pure price/performance but also on performance/watt.

In the past AMD did this with a superior architecture. But with intel's tick-tock strategy... AMD can't keep up with the R&D needed and are forced to compete on pricing and milk their existing architecture to stay alive.
