    What can 100 billion pesos do for our government if this was not lost to corruption?

    - It could have been used to buy over 400 units of Sikorsky S-70i Black Hawk at $5M each (Welcome to Aircraft Compare). Or 20 units of the Boeing ids F 15 SE Silent Eagle at $105M each(F 15 SE Silent Eagle fighter aircraft specs photo price). 100 billion pesos is about 2.2 billion dollars.

    - It could have been used to build 57,000+ classrooms. The government just sealed a P16.3B PPP project to build 9.300 classrooms. (Gov)

    - 100Billion is already 1/3 of the total budget for education in year 2013 which is 292.7 billion. (DepED)

    - Or if this was just distributed to every man, woman and child in the Philippines? that would be about 1,000 pesos each.

    Such a waste. I wonder if we will be seeing people going to jail for this corruption that happened and continues to happen.

    Y2011 = P101.8B Lost To Graft
    MANILA, Philippines — Despite the vigorous campaign of the Aquino administration against corruption, the government still lost P101.816 billion to graft last year.

    This was contained in a report released by the Commission on Audit (COA).

    The result of the COA report is a big blow to the administration as no less than President Benigno S. Aquino III is determined to get rid the government of officials involved in anomalous transactions.
    The paper called “Audit Performance Summary Report for CY 2011” was the first of its kind drafted by the COA and released on September 27, 2012.

    “For CY 2011, unauthorized/irregular/unnecessary expenses, unliquidated cash advances, violations of the Procurement Act, underassessment/under collection, unutilized/ineffective projects, and lack of appropriation constituted the most number of cases where the public coffers suffered unwarranted loss,” COA stated in its report.

    Y2007 to Y2009 = Philippines lost P101.82B to anomalies under Arroyo–COA
    MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines lost P101.82 billion through misuse of state funds and assets during the latter years of graft-tainted ex-president Gloria Arroyo’s rule, government auditors said Saturday.

    The Commission on Audit highlighted anomalies that mostly occurred in the 2007-2009 period in its investigation of more than 61,000 government agencies last year.

    “Most audit findings categorically indicate pecuniary loss on the part of the government, as a result of violations of law, rules and regulations,” said the report, first posted on its website Saturday.

    Based on these 2 articles, almost the same amount was lost to graft and corruption in Y2011 under Aquino and Y2007-Y2009 under Arroyo? Sakto ni ako pag-sabot?

    ^^Here's a link that would clarify the news.

    Part of P101.8-B loss incurred under Arroyo, COA chief says | News | GMA News Online | The Go-To Site for Filipinos Everywhere

    I look forward to reading the whole report to see where the exact attributions to the losses were really made. The fact remains that such a huge amount is down the drain and i can only hope those responsible get prosecuted, convicted and jailed for the anomalies and that this is not just for the news.
