    Post shipping costs

    i like the rtw business. i like to personally shop for items, if ever I do get into the business. Coz shopping is f-u-n but like zahara's friend, one cannot personally shop all the time. in the longer term, it would be nice to order stuffs thru business contacts/internet (wholesale), and then have them shipped here.

    shipping cost is computed like this

    sample computation

    invoice amount = $2,000
    freight (containerized) = depends on location lets say guangdong china to cebu around USD500-800
    local charges pag abot na sa cebu port (THC - $110 - $130 ; DOCS - $30 )
    tariff = rtw usually 20%
    computation

    invoice amount $2000
    x 20% (tariff)
    = 400

    invoice amount $2000 + $400 tariff

    = 2400

    2400 x 12% VAT = $288

    tariff + vat = CUD (Customs Duties)

    $400 + $288 = $688 (CUD)

    mao na ang sa customs tapos wala pana labot sa SOP sa customs

    roughly 6 examiners tag 50 peso to 200 pesos per signature so around 300 - 1,200 pesos

    tracking is usually around 2700 to PHP3,500

    bayad ka sa broker ug 3,500 for PF

    sa arrastre bayad ka ug 3,000 per container na cya
    500 sa encoder
    nya 25 pesos sa insurance

    ROUGH summary

    CUD = $688 (if invoice amount is $2000)
    THC + DOCS = $150
    FREIGHT = $600
    ARRASTRE = $78 (php3,524)
    BROKERAGE = $78
    TRUCKING = $70 (door to door)
    SOP = $30

    TOTAL = $1,694

    wala pana labot sa mga miscellaneous charges.

    ang bayranan sa LCL or loose cargo load mas mahal keysa containerized.

    para makabawi ka sa imong expenses dapat ang invoice amount nimo imo mark up pan ug 300%

    imo expenses gud kay $2000 + $1700 = $3700 na

    i hope this help.
