Currently, Pacquiao isn't LP, he is a member of the NP, but aligned with the LP coalition in the house of reps (and the administration). Anyway, the LP is full of turncoats and will switch allegiance/ jump ship in a heartbeat.

its not just LP, but majority of our politicians here in the philippines. basta kinsa naa ron sa malacanang, adto jud na makig-ally sa presidente. not like sa US politics, kung republican, stick jud sa partido. kung democrat, stick pod sa democrat party regardless of kinsa ma presidente sa US.
