a battery is a consumable product, and the performance will gradually degrade as the product is being used, that's the reason why there is only 1 yr warranty on the battery from date of invoice even though you have an extended warranty lets say 2 yrs for the system but battery is not included. check ba ang terms and conditions online sa manufacturers.

from my experience with my previous alienware m17x, m14x and jomilyn's m11x (which i was able to use for 2 weeks), if the battery is partially drained and then you plug in the ac adapter to charge, the brick of the adapter tends to get really hot until such time ma fully charge ang battery to 100% then the charger would cool down. so to take care of the battery and ac adapter, i will have it fully charged, unplug the charger, drain batt to 30% then plug again charger. this should be a good exercise sa battery.

gone are those days na dapat i drain mo jud ang battery before i-charge. it will only apply if u have an old school laptop and the battery meter is not accurate then imo jud i discharge aron ma reset. but kron na mga Li On na batteries wala naman ingon ana. pwde mo na ma charge if halfway drained na.

mas mka dugang gani sa stress sa battery and ac adapter if i fully drain mo jud. kabantay mo sa mga cellphone if ma drain jud ang batt ky it would take more time for the charger to charge the battery before the cp could even be turned on. same scenario sa laptop.

sorry bro kai mo dis agree ko ana,.. I know what's on your mind, you think nga mag charge guihapon imong battery kung mag full charge na, Good as gi ibot na nimo ang imong battery ana kung full charge na. Abtik kaau na ang mga charge controller sa lappy like UPS bro.

maybe ma bypass kung 100% charged, but then, since in use man, mo naog nag gamay, then mo charge na pud siya... so same thing, it still keeps on charging the battery...

now, naay uban laptop manufacturers (like lenovo), naa silay software to control the charging threshold para maski pa naka connect ang charger, dili sya mo charge not until ma trigger ang threshold nga imong gi set... you can use that... but ako, i prefer manual

basta based on my personal experience, dili jud mag dugay ang battery nga kanunay naka tangag sa ac adapter... maybe you can do that once in a while, pero kung everyday nga inana imong style, then expect nga ma shorten jud ang lifespan sa imong battery.

80% of us in the office are laptop users (thinkpad), akoang mga kauban nga ilang practice kanunay naka tangag, guba na ilang mga battery mga 5 to 10mins nalang battery life... akoa mo abot pag 2 to 3 hours gikan full charge...

The more nga mag ibot ibot mo anang inyong charger the more nga moubos ang life span sa inyong battery. Tungod na sa EEPROM sa battery controller, naa na mag count kung kapila na ninyo gi charge. Battery repair shops will reset the counts by programming new dumps sa EEPROM. that's why....
