Need some inputs from other ofw's as i build my case. If there are ofW'S who can support not in words or hopes but in action, we are going to use the power of the internet to expose incompetence, to reach the 4 corners of the world. If i could get my loan approved - then the technology could be used as "copy & paste" now i know why we are so poor-our country is so poor not because we do not know(LACKING IN KNOWLEDGE) but because of the incompetence of people in position and blocking the flow of money because of their incomptence. Money flow speeds up economic development. Slow down the money you stifle the growth. It is the lifeblood. This is a good test case and see how the ofw's can work together- either lukewarm ofw or full red blooded fighting filipino. BSP is telling Aquino to spend more, what better way to spend but release by money of the OFW's!!!

I wish to establish a process here - that will be for any other problems ofw's encounter while putting my neck on the line.

    boss esoy,

Sorry, I strongly believe that you got it wrong.
OFW's are exempted from paying travel taxes.

Logically, ang word "exempted" does not mean nga ipasa sa other tax payers ang burden to pay.

logically speaking, there's no free lunch for anyone... someone has to pay for something... its free for you, but someone pays for your fees...

I am not degrading OFWs for that matter, to each his own... i was merely pointing to you that the benefit you received is taken from other people's tax money.

Western Union and the different banks; the government of the phils take tax from these entities, hence, it still comes from us, the OFW.
Yes to a certain point you are right...however, it creates unfairness on the part of the other taxpayers who doesn't enjoy the same privilege, don't you think so? OFWs and non-OFWs pay taxes, but more so by the non-OFWs. Then a benefit afforded for the OFWs should also be afforded to non-OFws... If OFWs doesn't send any money, he won't be taxed by this government... We are taxed regardless we send money for the OFWs or not...

mao nay pagaingnon, from the moment you were born till you die, tax is always there, talking about paying taxes and in return what we get, how about people from Visayas and Mindanao paying taxes but only Luzon gets major projects? fair pod ba? OT na ta ani. . . but going back sa topic ni Esoy, what about DBP? have you approached them and what could be their process if you have approached them? daghan bitaw ni sila program gipang offer, pero sangkatirbak pod ang requirements.

I thought of this too kay I have a project in mind, but kung ingon ani ka tedious ang process, then I would prefer getting a loan somewhere else. . .

example aning feasibility study which is already designed by SEAFDEC (in relation to TS post kay fish pond man iya plano), they made the study with their specialist, scientists, etc and even have the projection kung kanus a ka mo kita. Pero kung bisan sure ball pa siguro ang project kung walay know-how ang mo process sa loan either land bank or DBP or OWWA, possible dyud na decline dayon.

If you are an OFW - please join this thread and identify yourself or sign up. There is a lot we can do if we join and bond together through the internet. Jose Rizal once said that the pen is mightier than the sword, it is our time now to show to Rizal that the internet is mightier than the atomic bomb. We are now able to reach anyone in the four corners of the world. Now is the time to organize and unite and speak in one voice our needs, wants and desires, and work out our dreams/vision. Join in and let's move on. Let us dictate what we want for us and not what "they" give us.

Once we succeed with OFW's concerns, we work with Pag-ibig, SSS and other GOCC's. This is our government and we run it the way it should be. OFW's Rule!!!

Don't despair, while the good intention of the Government is there as well as their earning POGI points. It is the people in the implementation that are terribly backward. OWWA is trying to do it's role but the people at Land Bank thinks Land Bank is their property. OWWA has forwarded 171 applicants - Land Bank has approved 4, but no release. It is a painful process, but it is in the pain that we become strong. Once we understand the process it will be cut and paste, for others to follow and improve chances of approval. In fact, originally there should be no collateral, now Landbank is asking for collateral. They are playing with technicalities and words. Hence, most of the borrowers are easily discouraged. They are giving me one hell of a time with my project proposal. Something they have never never seen daw in the Philippines - since it is new and I am spear heading the information and promotion of the concept, according to them it is not technologically proven in the Philppines !!!! Such ignoramus, where in other countries all over the world are doing it. According to them Aquaponics is not a proven technology in the Philippines. Bang!! So the issue here is more of ignorance and they kept dragging their feet for 5 months just to know that. Any process or procedure that is slow reflects incompetence and ignorance. If we have such people doing the process we shall be so backward and backward while creating an economic slowdown and the rightful beneficiaries of the government concept cannot avail of what is due to them. We can either let this happen or do something about it. This is why I want to see this through as a test-case. Then we move to the next GOCC..
